Why BD Fares Better Than Pakistan: a Pak perspective

You actually should.

Textiles is one of the best ways for poor countries to get income. The sector is a mass employment generator. Almost every country in the world has used textiles to lift itself up when it was poor.

It brings in a lot of employment, that is probably the best thing about it, along with that it can absorb poorly skilled people.
Fine! I'm heart broken  why god why?

lol.
All said and done Shamk9, textile industry is a major factor and causes employment of millions in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh individually.

There must be a concerted effort to capture 100% of the market share by South Asia. You really are not getting the scale here. As a trivia let me tell you - Pakistan's cotton is considered one of the best in the world.

lol.

That might have been the nicest thing you have said about Pakistan :cray:
On topic: Pakistan can easily sell its textile products in the Sub Continent but with load shedding and all, its hard to keep up. Hoping for a better future.

Actually..I have said much better. But that is mostly on the development and economic issues. Its frequented by few people. You(& others) end up noticing my posts on political and religious issues.

I dont think Pakistan has a lot of scope in the subcontinent as India, Pakistan and BD are all textile producing countries. Sure, the scope is there, but its limited.

The real income comes from export and that is where Bangladesh seems to be racking up real gains. Pakistan was good till about a decade back. Now Pakistan exports its raw cotton - which is of quite good quality- to Bangladesh(mostly) and India(much less) which then process it and export it.

Hope the best for both countries. There are some infrastructure issues in both countries that need to be overcome but as long as the people work hard than any obstacles can be over come.

Thats Textile and this thread is about garments.
..and as usual..India sells the raw material ..and not the finished product... India selling iron ore to Japan and buying steel from them.:undecided:
