Why are there so many rapes pakistan,India and Bangladesh?

sexual stress in public ? i think few laws need to be changed . prostitution should be allowed like west under strict conditions .

Ok but don't you think it leads to other problem, when it is banned itself there is so much human trafficking happening. It works like a industry, women from small villages are easy targets. How will you regulate this.

We are not west, they have a small population & not a steep urban-rural divide.

Just now read a news of a 2 year old girl being raped and killed in pakistan and 6 year old in hathras india .Really disturbing.
Is it because of sexual frustration as many people are devoid of sex until marriage or are these things common everywhere in the world (but i dont get to see such news from poor africa or south east asia).
There is something seriously wrong with this part of the world.
I feel prostitution should be legalised and should be regulated by the govt(to avoid trafficking).
Sex is a basic human need and it should be made available to everyone who is in need.
By making sex a taboo we are creating a society which is full of perverts...a society with people who are mentally restless and frustrated.

Rape and sexual abuse happens everywhere. I think we are becoming more aware of it in our societies due to social media and increased reporting, but I feel there is also a general increase in these sorts of activities too. There are many reasons. I've listed the ones I think are the greatest contributing factors below;

1. Hypersexualisation. As people have mentioned we live in societies were sex is not mentioned. We don't educate our youth about it, we don't discuss it. This is contrary to Islamic practices. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) actively discussed sexual limitations, responsbilities and answered questions about rules and regulations, even provided marital advice. Today that is non existent. On the other hand we have unrestricted access to pornographic material and even standard TV and movies which sexualise women, objectify them and every story line has some sort of persuit of women built into it.

Of top of this there is no outlet for sexual energy. I cannot comment about other religions, but we Muslims have built obstacles in the way of marriage. Our youth are not mentally and culturally prepared to marry at a young age and even if they are, we are so concerned with granduer and expensive customs, we have created financial barriers. The joint family system was our strength, and we've wrecked it and created atmospheres where it is our weakness.

2. Lack of accountability. Very few people who commit sexual crimes get prosecuted for them. We have society setup to blame women. On top of that there is the "shame" BS. A woman is considered less if she has been sexually abused, hence people cover up such issues.

3. No safeguarding. It amazes me how lax people are with the care of their children in Pakistan. Small children will go to the shops unnacompanied, play out on the streets without adult supervision, people will leave their children in the care of other adults in private places - for example private tuition or home based islamic classes. Heck the poor even send them out to work. They are now having children so they can use them as sources of income! Also with women in the workplace, there are no limits to male and female colleagues working together in private. It is not mandatory for offices to have glazed doors (this is a requirement in the UK) and worst of all, there is no support for anyone who faces bullying or abuse in the workplace.

You add this all up and you get to where we are.

I'm sure India has other cultural factors too, your problems seem to be beyond even ours!

I could not agree more.

With all these safeguards (physically and culturally) in place in western countries, Rapes still occur but they are more likely to be reported and dealt with. Predators down get away with it as easily.

The laisse faire attitude of society, IMHO, comes from the breakdown of the justice system and the slow prosecution of cases in the courts. Swift justice (that is still through but not stopped by obstruction) is the best way to put the fear of Allah back into people. This along with those safeguards already present in the west.

We need to invest in safe places were women And children can carry out their work or education and not be at the mercy of a potential predator. we should a t least start with the court system and have supervised daycare centers for women that work or go to school.

i said strict regulations we can have so many good ways

licensing is one thing a doctor and psychiatrists have to interview them before renew license every month

license should be verify from interior ministry or police department so they have contact with police no one can force them

there are many steps can be taken like a special places under strict regulations and inspections .

Prostitution exists everywhere p. What governments do is look the other way. This achieves the same objective. The Dubai model ....

You are an ignorant petty little person aren't you.
If title change was required in your ego filled judgement, shouldn't it be alphabetically India first.

but as per wikipedia your country has a higher rape rate than India, why don't you read a little
bit & educate yourself haha

The fact that you quoted wiki as your source shows you are uneducated. A quick look at sources and edit history, used to write Pakistan wiki will tell your its written by a brainless monkey like you.

Examples of sources used.

I curse your kind, and hope they burn alive in front of your eyes.

We know othing about bangladesh and Pakistan is never close to india..
