Why and how the US must confront Burma's Rohingya genocide

what do you expect from those slumdogs? those gutter creatures are on the bottoms of human race existence, yet talk big in this dark corner, even bullshitting about education a topic that is far beyond the grasp of their pathetic IQ. This demonstrates to us how ugly human being could degrade into if evolve into the wrong direction.

This is a country that everybody hates, and the only shit hole in the world that every of its neighbours spent tons of money to build a fence against it, like avoiding some kind of plague, pathetic!!! hold your border tight and slaughter anything that dare to cross. Myanmar is now setting up the fence with the help of China, and Pla will terminate anything that move even one inch over from that direction. let those gutter creatures rotten in that dead corner.

Actually I quite enjoy those creatures moaning here, nothing they could do but pure whining, what a spectacular scene!
Pro Chinese Bangladeshi folks come a read this from your feudal Lord .Thank him for his complement and eat Chinese vomit .
However real patriot bangladeshi who only love your own country and culture( not India infected Bangladeshi ) just try to rebuke him if you consider yourself really a free nation.
Now India and China unified here .this clown has crossed all his limits.
@Homo Sapiens let's take a temporary break from our internal argument/fight , and show some real patriotism here against this pest .

If you have a problem with China then maybe stop asking us for money?

Maybe go back to asking Modi? Or ask Trump instead?

Now please don't tell that Bangladesh use Chinese cra.p too. Bangladesh can use those salvage because Bangladesh is not trying to become a super power .

LOL didn't you buy our old and obsolete training submarines from the 1970's?

Meanwhile, we have already inducted J-20 in our air force, as well as the world's first ASBM platform (DF-21D and DF-26) and soon the world's first operational HGV platform.

As for economics, my home city alone (HK) with only 7 million people has a much larger nominal GDP than Bangladesh.

So for all your talk about Chinese "crap" and "salvage", why are you using our old 1970's platforms that were considered unfit for service?

Well done in being a party to rape and murder in Myanmar.

I like the way you are linking up with Indians against BD. Indians are the very same people who support the murder and rape of millions of Chinese at the hands of Japanese in WW2 saying you deserved it. Go and befriend them as they have already linked up with US to contain China. Maybe one day they will host US nuclear bombers to bring your civilisation to an end since they have signed away the right for the US to host bases in India against China.

Uneducated morons like yourself know nothing of history and so are ranting nonsense without knowing the consequences.

PS - Maybe you would like to pay a visit to your new Indian friends and get called names and maybe beaten up and killed as so often happens with the poor people from the NE that the Indians have enslaved.

I have no problem with China .
But I have problem with some Chinese who try to show others as their subservient.
However asking money from you ? As if you are giving money for free ? All help bangladesh got from China are not donation, but all are about business.

Exactly I said so.
We use your Chinese tools because ,we are not trying to be superpower ,so Chinese weapons are fine for us.
Perhaps PLA need better much equipment than those garbage in order to compete US or Russia ,even to india if India will be equipped with Western stuff.

So try to get some sophisticated equipment from West if you really want to be even regional super power .
Indian mrca is cancelled now . Who knows if India again order dassault rafale, maybe they will outperform your air Force. And they may order for better equipment for other branches too.
So try to get better aircraft. But I doubt that west will sell equipment to China .
P.S:
When I have joined here first , I found Chinese peoples are very friendly to us unlike indian trolls . And now Chinese have changed a lot only because here bangladeshi peoples asked fair treatment from China about poor rohingyas.
And now Chinese are showing their friendship too bangladeshi peoples because bangladeshi peoples here critisized China about rohingya issue .
Is it the behavior Chinese allies should be prepared for ?
It is not friendliness , but it's feudal behavior ,that I am trying to say .

Totally agree that China is in the wrong here and BD is right to pick them up on this.

There are many dozens of Chinese posters on this forum and only 3 are getting involved in this BD bashing.
@Chinese-Dragon is at least trying to be somewhat reasonable. The other two @pher and @dy1022 are pretty much complete morons and so can safely be ignored as they do not in anyway represent general Chinese.

Good good. You harness the BBS well. Filter out all the bad stuff past some marked convenient threshold on the normal distribution curve....because you cant handle full brazen truth and realities.

Here in PDF definitely they are representative of China that's all, as there is no way to ask 1.3 billion Chinese personally.

Personally I think the sample space is alright (I made number of friends in the actual china subforum), many more "friendly" Chinese do not really come to such topics in first place....I imagine some do read (and now they influenced in their attitude to BD i bet by nabil, cannon fodder ad hominem...or maybe they can ignore at personal level hopefully).

Most Chinese honestly dont know much about Bangladesh, I think Bangladesh has to work harder to change that (And elsewhere too).

Don't you remember what Myanmar did to Kokang? They, Kokang are 90% Han Chinese. Many Chinese PDF posters were on rage when Myanmar did cruel things to them. Hopefully you won't forget about it. Kokang was lucky that Chinese Government help them and give them shelter, and solve their problem peacefully. They just unlucky that nobody else care about them. But US and the Western yell and cry out loud when Rohingya got problem now. That's show that US and their allies were not sincerely to help / care about Rohingya, They just want to contain China plan by coming to Myanmar with the name of human right. But please remember, Some Bangladesh posters were sympathy to them (Kokang) and side with China at that time. That show that Bangladesh people are Chinese true friend.

I think as a Han Chinese, I also have sympathy to Rohingya people. Because Rohingya has Bangladesh blood in them, and they have the same fate like Kokang. And Chinese Government don't forget about them either. Look at Minister Wang Yi three phase proposal and Chinese plan to help Rohingya area (I don't know what district in it) with economy development in the future. maybe Myanmar Junta were so greedy that they push Rohingya out because their home will become an international ports that will built by China. So they don't want to share the richest of the new economy investment with Rohingya, who know.

I think China maneuver in UN that pro Myanmar was not a betrayal to Bangladesh. They just want to kick away US involvement in the area. But they still care about Bangladesh and give aid to Rohingya refuges. I'm sure that if Rohingya can reach China border (which they can't), China will welcome and treat them good too, like what they did to Kokang.

Our Bangladesh friends just enrage because of Chinese blocking UN resolution on Rohingya, and side to Myanmar. So we just have to ensure them that China don't betray them. Not just put more fire to make them more angry.

So please be mature, My friend. Don't drink too much when you write on PDF. You're trolling on the wrong side. You just turn your friends to become your enemies.

Wang Yi's Three Phase Proposal are :

In the first phase, the on-site ceasefire should be called for and social stability should be resumed so that the people can live in peace without being homeless. With the joint efforts of all parties, the goal of this phase has achieved fundamentally and what matters most is to avoid the recurrence of the situation, especially the war ---> This mean that China force Myanmar to stop their military operation on the site.

In the second phase, all parties and the international community should jointly encourage Myanmar and Bangladesh to keep in touch and strengthen communication so as to find out feasible approaches to this issue through friendly consultation on an equal footing as quickly as possible. The two parties have reached a basic consensus on a repatriation agreement at present and it is hoped that this agreement can be signed and implemented as soon as possible to achieve visible results. ---> The plan to bring back Rohingya to their home.

In the third phase, the priority should be given to the strategies to address the root cause of this issue. China believes that poverty is the root cause of turbulence and conflicts. Though Rakhine State boasts rich resources, its development still lags behind. We call for the international community to increase supports and investment to this area to promote development through poverty alleviation and achieve stability through development. China is willing to make contributions to this end and play its due role.--> After Rohingya back to their home, China plan to invest and help Rohingya economically. I'm sure that Bangladesh can invest in there too, to help Rohingya, so they can free from their poverty.

I'm sure that the three phase proposal are do able, because China great influence to Myanmar. Specially now when everyone eyes go to them. Myanmar Junta are afraid. They need China help and will listen to all China's proposal.

The UN proposal that promoted by Trump is a path of war. They want to bring their Army to Myanmar. Their plan is to contain China, by destroying China plan to promote economic corridor, and maybe, if they can, make Myanmar a battlefield. They will arm the rebels, like what they do to Syria, or they will bring their navy like what they did to Libya. If that plan ever realized, it's not only Rohingya who will flee the region, but also the other people too. Including Myanmar people. And they will flood the countries around Myanmar, including Bangladesh. Just look at what happen to Syria, and how their people become refuges in other countries. But you can be relieved. Myanmar Junta will be punished.

Read this :https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/05/opinion/china-rohingya-crisis.html

The Rohingya are a lesser consideration for Beijing. China’s proposal has no guarantee that all of the Rohingya would be allowed to return home, let alone secure recognition or citizenship (most Rohingya are considered “stateless”). Once they crossed back into Myanmar, the Rohingya returnees would be at the mercy of the same Tatmadaw that dispatched them to Bangladesh. The returnees would not be allowed to go to their home villages, which have been reduced to ashes, but consigned to grim internment camps. The system of discrimination and segregation that made them so vulnerable in the first place would become further entrenched with the camps.

The bold : Do you know what is it? That mean the same Myanmar Junta is a NO for USA. It is a path of regime change. And regime change often goes to prolonged war / chaos. Like Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq, and the others. At the surface, it's a good thing. The evil men must be punished. But at the same time, Myanmar Civilians will suffer, just like Syrian, Libyan, Iraqi, Afghanistan, etc.

And ask Pakistan posters, what's good to become the neighbor of a failed state like Afghanistan? It won't be fun.

NY Times use classic Western do justice way of writing, like always. Pointing finger to the devils, saying that a peaceful solution are just lips service, but their "regime change" military action are justified.

So if that what Bangladesh posters want, then just do what your best to achieve that. You will be happy because the devil will face their punishment, but at the same time, Rohingya will still suffer, and no one care about them. But I think Bangladesh Government know about it. That's why they welcome China's Three phase Proposal.

There are only two choice. You want to solve Rohingya problem, or you want to punish the evil Myanmar Military Junta in the name of democracy.

@Chinese-Dragon may I ask why you gave me a negative rate?

He thought that you call Chinese as Tiny little Yellow Men with little dong bark. Which make him angry. I, too will think you as a racist if I haven't read the Minion below it, and have enough English understanding to know what you mean.

My apologies for the tardiness. I have been traveling lately.

You don't need to worry about that, China will never be the "world leader". It is against our core principles, one of which is to "Never seek hegemony". And the Chinese people will never tolerate our tax money being spent on wars halfway across the world, in Nicurargua or Mexico or anything like that. The Chinese government exists to further the interests of the 1.3 billion Chinese citizens, not Nicuraguans and not Mexicans.

I never said that China wants to become like the USA. The Chinese premier said that China will 'lead' the world. There is a difference.

Forget America's neighbors. The CIA had a long relationship with Nicaragua's Contra rebels which is in part responsible for America's drug problems. Very depressing side of much of Latin America. If anything, it is America's neighborhood that will bite them if they are not careful.

Well then you are in luck. Your beloved USA and your beloved Donald Trump is still the "world leader" (despite their recent moves to pull out of the United Nations over the Jerusalem vote).

Did you notice that I hardly mentioned Trump? He is largely inconsequential, at least for now. China sees him as an opportunity, and those are the words of a former high-ranking MI-6 officer. He's undoubtedly the most controversial. However, if he gets a 2nd term, the damage can be very real.

Jerusalem is not China's concern since it means nothing to it. Jerusalem has no cultural/religious significance to China whatsoever. Yet, it opposed Mr. Trump's move. Politics!

In the end, it is just sand and some old buildings. That's right. They spend trillions of dollars, open conflicts of unimaginable magnitudes, waste human potential and over what? For who? Sand...

Now that is backward.

You can petition them for help anytime you want, and I'm sure they will give out plenty of verbal platitudes and token sanctions, but nothing that will change anything on the ground in Myanmar. After all, Suu Kyi's "democratic regime" was installed by America in the first place. And they both share a strong distaste for the Muslim world in general.

You are right. This so-called 'Democratic Transition' was nothing but a sham in the first place. The lady is incapable of leading pretty much anything. Of that is abundantly clear.

And what has this so-called 'Muslim World' done to Myanmar? The first time I have heard of the words 'Rakhine' and 'Rohingya' was back in 2012. I admit, I am ignorant but hey I'm learning right? Before then, 'Rohingya' was very vague in my mind. I have recently learned that the Burmese Muslims (non-Rohingya) are being impacted, particularly those of mixed-blood. Many are forced to register as 'Bengali'. There are reports that the Rakhines are rebelling against the regime, their fire is still there despite the clearing out the Rohingyas. Under the right conditions, that country will explode at any moment. So what is the role of this so-called 'Muslim World' here? Hmm? That is why I say the giving the military too much of a role in a civilian society and combing them with the police simply limits the potential of the civilian thereby making a dystopian society.

America's role in Afghanistan is something so hallow that there just isn't anything to it. The enemy is not the people of Afghanistan, nor the Taliban nor Islam for that matter. It is the terrain. The Pashtuns have many tribal groups and have lived there for many generations. They have such a potent connection to the land that no outsider can ever match it. Primitive they are, yet extremely powerful. They are true sons of the soil. Some Americans soldiers doing a few tours of duty and bringing new ones for the same will not defeat them. No outsider can. It is impossible terrain.

It has been said that the Soviet soldiers forced Kazakh farmers to grow food. They complied. They just can't talk the same language with the Pashtuns. Like I said, primitive yet extremely powerful. The British learned it the hard way. The Russians did, and next the Americans will do the same and will regret it. A pitiful and lame path for vengeance that yielded nothing. If anything, it made their power weaker while China quietly developed both their economic links and the military without any hindrance. And that worries me. It is not that I love America. It is about balance.

Is there a way for the Afghan tribes to ascend to a higher plane? Yes. But this isn't the way.

Two completely different scenarios.

This 'Muslims are sooo evil' thing is getting very boring and honestly doesn't answer anything other than fulfilling some fool's imagination. You are not a fool are you?

We know that China is not America. But China's response in the case of Myanmar will be remembered and recorded in history. Politics is dirty, we know.

I'm sure it will be remembered.

Yet this is the most prevalent discourse in Western society. Look at how Western societies are swinging towards right wing and even far right political leadership.

Donald Trump is just a symptom. He is just saying what the average American Joe believes, and his policies are the same as all the other leaders before him, he's just more open and honest about them (e.g. Jerusalem, Iran, etc).

Since 2001 America has been bombing Muslim countries non-stop, even today there is an American bomb dropped on a Muslim country every few minutes. Or a drone strike, or a cruise missile, or just regular old bullets and artillery.

America is in a state of eternal war, do you think they care about the millions of innocent Muslims who have died in Iraq or Syria or Afghanistan or anywhere else, as a result of their endless invasions and bombings?

If your argument is that China will be no better if we were in their situation, I won't say you are wrong. But as of now, China isn't killing anyone on foreign soil, certainly not every few minutes as America is doing.

The feeling is mutual :D

I would say that American society is very confused. And I mean, extremely confused. The Europeans on the other hand are more balanced despite the rise of far right parties which isn't surprising to be honest.

You are right, Trump is a symptom of 9/11. Luckily, Bangladeshis are not being impacted by their military operations. However, the Indians (regrettably) have deeply entrenched themselves here, and that has American and Japanese support. This (in BD) is one regime with zero accountability while bring surrounded by dysfunctional neighbors filled with armed insurgencies. Wow...

The art of fighting without fighting is genius. I hope to see that more.

Typical mentality of Bengali loosers. Never won anything in its entire existence.

Well, that saying is not that of some 'Bengali loosers'. It is actually the saying of a great Chinese warrior-philosopher. Conflict is an inevitable part of life. And you know what? We Bengalis managed those conflicts miserably within ourselves.
