There are problems between countries internationally. It would be impossible not to have one, that's how it happened unfortunately. Although if compared to China, Australia has much more problems to Indonesia. China investment in Indonesia is a plus point as China were the 2nd largest investor in Indonesia. It's a complicated relationship with Australia. They want us to be cooperative yet at the same time they're screwing with us on our back. I can understand that they need to keep their facade on at all times as 90% of their exports and imports goes thru our territorial waters, while in actuality they hate us for losing their offshore oil field in Timor Leste which they stole from the timorese, and many more "typical neighbouring country" problems.
As you see, the article is from Australia therefore that's what their media's perspective is. This isn't the first time they did this. Heck, there are even worse western media outlet out there. This isn't the problem between China and Indonesia, but Australia's own problem.
