Why a powerful Indonesia could influence Australia's future more than China

There are problems between countries internationally. It would be impossible not to have one, that's how it happened unfortunately. Although if compared to China, Australia has much more problems to Indonesia. China investment in Indonesia is a plus point as China were the 2nd largest investor in Indonesia. It's a complicated relationship with Australia. They want us to be cooperative yet at the same time they're screwing with us on our back. I can understand that they need to keep their facade on at all times as 90% of their exports and imports goes thru our territorial waters, while in actuality they hate us for losing their offshore oil field in Timor Leste which they stole from the timorese, and many more "typical neighbouring country" problems.

As you see, the article is from Australia therefore that's what their media's perspective is. This isn't the first time they did this. Heck, there are even worse western media outlet out there. This isn't the problem between China and Indonesia, but Australia's own problem.

China-Australia relationship ranks at very insignificant place for China at present. China-Russia, -America, -SCO, -East Asia, -Southeast Asia,BRICKS, -South Asia, -Europe,-Africa, -Arabia, I think every of above diplomatic relationship is much more important than that with Australia.
Most of times, Australia played the one-man performance there, jump up and down. China cooperates AU when it shows positively, China ingore AU when it shows double-dealer. Nobody likes the changable personaility or nationality.

PHEW... PHEW.... PHEW.... :sniper:
BTW whose lives?! you?! PHEW... PHEW.... PHEW.... :sniper:

Because most of these China posters here are paid agitator. In fact if you notice closely, all their posting are something that came from prepared propaganda materials.

BLAH... BLAH... BLAH... :blah: So what next in that propaganda script of yours?!
You are REALLY a brainwashed moron. West media, free speech. Chinese words, all are propaganda. Lol. You are totally a loser and brainwashed, specially you are from a Islam country. You even cannot identify who is your real enemy.

So Washington Post is wrong about treatment of Uyghurs but right about Indonesian Chinese??
Uyghurs?? Our government treat Uyghurs much much better than what Indonesian government did to Indonesian Chinese, we build cities and homes for them. They will live much wealthier than Turkey in a short future.
Considered the traitor behaviors of some Uyghurs, they should be grateful to central government.

I don't know what really goes on inside Indonesia or China, neither is it my business. Just saying you can't cherry pick and say WP is right with stories against Indonesia but wrong when it writes against China.

I really do not know why you have the impression about "say WP is right with stories against Indonesia but wrong when it writes against China".
In fact, no Chinese really believe the West media no matter what stories they wrote. The West media lies as Trump said, and we have already realized this fact long ago. We and Russia are the two countries the West media never say good and make up lies, so we have got used to their stories.

Since the West medias lies so much, they already have lost their credit long ago in Chinese society. No matter what they wrote, the first reaction for most of Chinese is how much lies in their stories. We will judge by our own selves, no from their articles. Your impression about us is completely wrong.

China doesn't care if you're an Islamic or Christian country. They want allies and friends. That's why they're building up Pakistan and want to fck India up. As for Australia, it's better to have a good relationship with both big economies no need to stir things up.

.
Best of luck Indonesia. So far it has been a responsible big nation in the region as can be seen from the way it has resolved territorial disputes with smaller countries around it like Malaysia. In fact the reason why I believe ASEAN has been a relative success has been the fact that Indonesia as the big nation has been very accomodating. SAARC for example has utterly failed because India has sought to use it as a platform through which to expand its influence on neigboring countries. Meanwhile ASEAN has a remarkable policy of respecting individual country's concerns and much of that is due to the diplomatic maturity of Indonesia. A stronger Indonesia is therefore a positive for the whole world.

China doesn't care if you're an Islamic

It is in the interest of China to portray itself as a friend to Muslim nations. The Chinese government does care about religion. Most of the Christian countries are allies or puppets of the US. Muslims have been antagonized by the West and particularly the Trump administration. China is filling a void that the US left in the Muslim world, and at the same time creating a bulwark against Western encroachment. In this geopolitical power dynamic, Indonesia is just as important as Pakistan, Iran, or Turkey.

Australia & Indonesia are strategic ally. We would never join china to attack australia.

Hell we even sign a defense pact couple of months ago.

Strategic allies? You got to be kidding me. To refresh your memory, remember East Timor, the former Indonesian Province which we separated from Indonesia so that we can take control of the oil and gas reserves of East Timor. The relationship is more of Master-slave rather than allies.

. .
Yeah, the Washington Post and others are lies to you.
Photographs depicting RAPES and KILLINGS are fake to you.
Videos showing RAPES and KILLINGS are fake to you.
Indonesian government INVESTIGATING itself as INNOCENT is the TRUTH to you.
GOT IT.

I got problem searching for video regarding the 1998 Indonesia massacre of Chinese women.
I had seen them some time ago, do you have any links.
I saw them around the time when there was news about how Indonesians were duped into making a movie on the 1998 Indonesia Chinese massacres.
.
Mate, normally Chinese members on PDF declare the Washington Post and rest of the US media as unreliable especially when it comes to news related to China but now you are saying it is not fake... How come?

Who's going to be slave and who's going to be the master...!!?? LOL

Mate the former PM of Australia John Howard never wanted a free & sovereign east timor. In fact he even suggested to Gus Dur that east timor should be turned into an indonesian territory like the christmas island.

It was indonesia that free east timor, Australia just took the credits for it.

If Indonesia is set to be the 4th largest economy in the world by 2050, i welcome this news. I hope they focus their efforts on improving the quality of life of their people, on education, on R&D and on developing military strength.

As a Muslim I consider Indonesia a brother, even though I don't know much about it. If your brother is strong then it is something to be pleased about.

Politically, Indonesia should not try to position itself away from China, the Chinese are a big trading ally and big economy locally. If you build business interests, you can build bonds for peace. The same should be true for Australia.

If Indonesia is economically and militarily strong, nobody will threaten it's interests and if someone does, they will be able to react to it. No need to jump up and down about an offence that hasn't taken place.

I remembered when that happened. Why did you set it free?
