Oh bhai meray, Mushy had his most able henchman Kiani who BTW was an incompetent fool when battling terrorism (or maybe that was by design) on assignment to work with his real boss Condi Rice to broker a deal with BB so she can be fast tracked to be PM. Mushy is on record stating BB was going to be my PM and if there is was no assassination there is no reason to believe she would have not been back in the seat.

Establishment's most loyal partner is PPP, going back to Yahya/Ayub days. That's why PPP has been given free reign for the past 30 years in the nation biggest financial hub.

Let’s not forget Kiani was benazirs MS during her 93 tenure hence the connection. Kiani played mushy to further his own agenda.

No doubt BB would’ve been pm had she been alive, she was the most popular leader at the time. However what I meant was Zardari, cashed in on it. The free hand in Sindh is mostly because of the illiterate and submissive public which ppp is able to manipulate with stick and carrot. During bbs time it was different, people liked her. However zardaris tactics are more ghunda mafia style. People of Punjab are different and not submissive like in Sindh. That’s precisely why ppp came down from 50-60 seats to just 7 since zardaris time and have been unable to make any gains to this day.

PPP will still be supported by the establishment. for all its defects, it is still, comparatively, the most pro-pakistan party in Sindh, barring karachi. it is a necessary evil and acts as a counterweight to ethno-nationalist parties.

I think PTI will probabaly just lose 10% seats in KPK 20% in punjab and 10-20% in karachi

This will give PTI around 50-60 seats and PMLN around 80-90 seats

I also dont think IK would have gotten better votes. You simply cant outperforms expectation that never happens..so if with expectations he couldnt get 50% punjab it was obvious from day 1 that next time it will be maryum nawaz

I doubt maryum nawaz will let shahbaz or hanza take over
She will leave punjab to them

Once she is in power all cases will go and alot of generals will also go home. We may see some lobbying to gain outside support so i expect good relationships with india and some strategic compromises probabaly stopping a few dams and holding some weapon acquisition programs, opening trade and allowing indian investment

Deisel sahab is a big possibility in three way divide i.e if PTI & PPP performs better then expected i.e PPPP gets some vote in karachi and south punjab(possible since PTI took seats from PPPP in karachi)

Then an impass between PPPP & PMLN may mean a cabdidate mutally accepted to both will be allowed..that is deisel sahab.

If south punjab is clean sweeped by PMLN it will be maryum/NS if not then maulama sahab


For IK fans..look , IK has no following in punjab so this isnt possible

The only way PTI can win is if IK retires nominates a punjab chuadary who can pivot party in punjab..this is where the buzdaar decision hurted PTI

Central punjab is heart if pakistan and a leader accepted to central punjab will only be ablw to form a stable govt if not it will be a simialr story of unstable govt like current one who is unable to pass legislation without pulling alot of trump cards

PML-Q merger with PTI and Chaudhary as its CM, I am sure IK would have been in a much much stronger position
