Dogs unless rabid won't attack humans,Yes, that is off-putting. You have a dog but sorry I don't want to see dogs in India. Or anywhere. Maybe there can be special dog reserves like there are tiger reserves. Maybe an island.
1. Sterilizing dogs will not take away their propensity to attack humans and cats.
2. You sterilize a few dogs in an area but there will be more coming in from outside. That restarts the cycle of dog births.
3. Sterilization of that cat... yaar, as it is, cats are almost extinct in India and on top of that you sterilized one.
Indeed.
Thank you.
Sterilizing is to ensure dogs in our area don't produce more litters.
There are probably 4 stray cats in and out of our house, and my parents have been feeding stray dogs and cats every day for the last 3 decades.
I grew up with dogs in my household, getting into fights with kids who throw stones at dogs all my childhood.
The last time when I was back in India, my wife wanted to bring one of the strays back with us, but the paperwork was too much of a hassle. Next time around will plan it better so we can get a pair of pariah dogs here, they are one of the smartest and bravest breeds.
We have a Black lab-Border Collie mix here, and she is the smartest pup we have ever seen, My wife's family has 2 husky's and 3 little Chihuahua's. One day, hopefully, we will be able to do something more substantial for the strays in India...
here is a Indian Pariah dog standing up to a Lioness.
