I hear you, but this conversation is around a decade too late now. Sure we can do more with the posts and we are at fault here, but have you seen the cess pools that are Indian forums, or social media posts by Indians in general? It's an all out assault on our faith, culture, way of life, women, kids, heck nothing is spared. Now we can go all hammer and nails on our guys here and upset a fair few, but to what end. Are we going to get an award for being so righteous? Ok we take the moral high ground, but our enemy will continue unabated and we've split our ranks. Yes you may think it's quite a simplistic way of looking at it, but it wasn't us who tried to draw first blood. What you primarily see here is a reaction to the massive movement of change in India.
Now I've always said I have nothing against normal Indian folk i.e. non Sanghis, and indeed my post above clearly was aimed at that. But those folk that we can have honest discourse with are fast disappearing, and the BJP secured for their second term the highest vote share ever. What do exactly want us to do with the set of savages who want our destruction? We're long past any friendly overtures.
Now we can respect individuals, and communities such as your own i.e. Sikhs and they respected greatly here, as they have no part in this and have been through horrible times e.g. Sikh riots in Dehli. But to say we need to 'meet' Indians to open our minds up, as in the vast majority are not like that is far fetched to say the least. The sangh is immensely popular with expats, Modi fills stadiums, so we don't really need to meet them to figure out they're not such bad folks. That's not to say we advocate violence on them or abuse them in any way shape or form, we just keep things normal, and at times at arms length.
Ending on pivotal point in terms of our history on this board. We were known as 'nice' site, where Indians were treated as equals, posts disrespecting dead Indian troops were removed and there was calm between us. We were repaid with the same lot storming onto our forum, excited, giggling away like little girls on how Modi had removed article 370. Many of them writing disgusting posts on how they will now sort out Kashmiris, putting up pictures of kids hit with pellet guns and so forth. Yep many of us took flak from our people on this forum who turned around and said "we told you so". I was mildly shocked as well, as I knew deep down they didn't really want ties of any sort.
So here we are today.
