What's new

where is the cancer ? In Pakistan.. says Woodward

Hold it right there. The past is connected with the present, since those policies of Zia were continued several years after Zia's death. You were delighted with the mayhem that your people were causing in Kashmir in the 90s, admit it.

And go easy on the toilet business, I can speak a lot about Pakistan's toilets (or the lack thereof). You can speak about toilets when you manage to provide your own citizens.

Why hold it right here. This war might have connection with 80's war but this is a new with new players and new dimensions. Cursing Zia all the time might be the easy way out for Bharati and keyboard experts, the fact doesn't change this war is now bound to end and it is America who will end it.

About toilet, you can go and enjoy if you have one. And don't bring IOK in every discussion. It has it's reasons and justifications to revolt against Indian occupation.

. .
It is the past dear. Talk about the present. The phrases with would don't have much weight. Or else I could say if India would have been a proper state every one in the India would have the toilet facility. ;)
No benefit of repeating the old same Zia did this or Zia did that BS.

As a revenge to neutralise Indias best friend. We are proud that it suceeded and now India itself was spanked to seek alliance with USA. ----------------------------------

As a result, India is still friends with Russia and end of cold war resulted in a much better alignment with USA too.

otoh, what do I say about Pakistan. ?? The ally it helped in cold wae against soviets, calls it a cancer..//??

Any way post reported for glorifying terrorism...

Neither do you guys bother about Americans nor Afghans, so how does it matter if US leaves Afghanistan or not.
As a matter of fact, you are from Pakistan so just think about your country, let the Afghans decide what's best for them

And what about your $1.2 billion investment in afghanistan :what:

yes the SAME americans & media alleged IRAQ had WEAPONS of Mass Destruction!!

basically USA always tries to hide its short comings by blaming others!

what happened to the "GOOD MUJHAIDEEN" who even rambo wanted to be a part off during the soviet invasion of afghanistan???

Iraq had weapons of Mass Destruction, they used them on the Kurds and Iran killing tens of thousands of people, including women and children.

Best I can tell Pakistan is up to its *** in alligators and is now worrying about how to drain the swamp.

While i am inclined to agree with the essence of that statement, why did Pakistan buy in to it whole-sale?
Right from the CENTO and SEATO ventures, Pakistan seemed to be more involved in protecting American interests than in securing her own future. Pakistan has/had an undeniable and unalienable to be its own "bulwark" rather than anybody else's.

How TRAGICALLY true?
Why should it be so?

Pakistan created and maintained "stateless actors" and un-uniformed "infiltrators" for decades before the Soviets invaded Afghanistan, and did so without U.S. help or approval. For the mujaheddin project the U.S. mainly provided logistical support and funding to Pakistani organizations that already existed.

Put another way, if a man ruins a pond through over-fishing do you blame his poor judgment or do you blame the man who gave him a net so he could earn his own livelihood in the first place?
