I just want to know that Where is General Rashad Mehmood Chairman of JCSC? He is missing from the scene for some time and also not seen after APS tragedy as well.

Any reason for his absence ?

That is true. Gen.Rashad Mehmood has not been visible of late; neither did he even issue any statement in the aftermath of the horrific tragedy at APS, Peshawar. Is he ailing?

The post of JCSC Chairman is merely ceremonial and only matters when Pakistan is at with any other country. The current situation is only internal, though warlike, JCSC is not functional during such periods and so is its Chairman. Any senior General who is docile and less ambitious is appointed to that position simply to enjoy perks and nothing more. Therefore, he cannot be active even if he wants to be because rules don't allow him to be.

Though there seems to be a belief expressed here that Gen.Mehmood is only in a ceremonial position, nonetheless it is an important position; so much so that (on paper atleast) he ranks higher in protocol than the Corps Commanders, the the DG ISI, the DG ISPR and actually even on par with the COAS.
So his lack of visibility and official silence on the APS Peshawar tragedy is mystifying. Even a statement from him on that incident would have been expected. This situation is not edifying....either for his position or for the image of the Armed Forces as an Institution in Pakistan.

He is another Kayani in mold.. it was Pakistan good luck that he did not become COAS, and Raheel Sharif got the job, This jack-*** is quite on Peshawar tragedy because he is responsible for it...Him and Kayani had been mouth feeding these Monsters TTP for some time everyone knows.
