Where are friends of Libya now?

no leader should be leading a country for 42 years.....

Gaddafi should have read the signals around him - in Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen.....if he stepped down even 4-5 years ago people would be crying after him.

its unfortunate things had to transpire the way they did. I admired Col. Gaddafi, despite this mistake he made.
There is a old saying "YOu either die as a hero trying hard to defend the people or you live long enough to be seen as the vilan by the very own people you sworn oath to protect"

I reckon if he had had elections and tried to legitamise his regime he would have done well.

well he somehow had a way of keeping the place together....unlike Egypt, it's other North African counterpart -- Libya is a very tribalized society.

Tribe/family-name mentality exists throughout.

You can see now what the effect of it is when there is a total power vacuum going on. The country is awash in weapons; what wasnt stolen from the arms depos -- was provided by US, France, and other western countries

as a Muslim and brotherly country of ours, we can only hope the best for Libyan Nation. Not much else we could do really.

.
Perhaps whats going on in Libya is expected outcome paving the way for balkanization.

You refuse to address issues instead you decide to make unwarranted unjustified flawed personal attacks

Sorry to say mate you really are coming over a bit dim. Go take a nap and have some rest

Ok, i see you got nothing as usual apart from deflections and populist drivel. But thanks for proving the stereotype.
Nevermind the fact that it was a UN resolution and that its not the West's responsability if the tribal leaders cant agree on anything.
We can talk when you adress those issues, until then GTFO.

I do not blindly accept western propaganda

Yet you readily post articles from the Daily Fail and Telegraph, a tabloid quality news outlets, which any UK member worth his weight in salt could confirm.
Their equivalents in the world include Fox, RT, Xinhua etc....

I reckon if he had had elections and tried to legitamise his regime he would have done well.

Yeah! That's why he unleashed the army on the people. Because he "would have done well" on legitimate elections.
You are surreal.

Good to see Indian and white man's true colours. All I say is Syrians awake. Its too late for Libyans

.
I don't know why some people always accuse INDIA for some Muslim Nations plight, we were friends of Libiya and still are, but what the Libiyans did to themself and the country they live in is not our responsibility, if some one goes and falls in a pit despite having a good vision, then they should be prepared to get the comments from their friends.
I don't know what Mr Aryan is reffering to the true colors of INDIANs.

Its not Indian govt in this case. But the overwhelming Indian internet warriors on here that are sycophantic to the white man and are supportive of the white man's actions around the world

Go and look at earlier Indian's posts on here and elsewhere to confirm

.
India is a nation of 1.2 billion, and these internet worriors are just representing them self and not INDIA or the collective INDIN people, so if you can point the person by name and make your comment, it will be nice of you instead of generalizing on the INDIANs as a whole.

Interesting article on how people are still being killed in Libya. Syrians should take note and be careful of countries pretending to be friends with ulterior motives

Renewed clashes between Libyan militias, 26 dead

At least 26 people have been killed as violence flares up once again in the western Libyan town of Zwara.

*This comes after tensions sparked over the weekend between the Arab-majority town of Ragdalein and the Berber-dominated town of Zwara, about 110 kilometers west of the capital Tripoli.

The violence is fuelled by deep-rooted animosity between the neighbors, who took different sides in Libya's civil war that toppled Muammar Gaddafi last year.

The clashes had escalated by Tuesday, with militia groups opening tank and artillery fire on each other. At least 22 people died in the fighting.

The National Transitional Council (NTC), which took power after Gaddafi's capture and killing in October, has struggled to stamp its authority on the country and rein in the myriad armed groups that helped defeat the Colonel's forces but have refused to disarm.

These local rivalries threaten to divide Libya along tribal and regional lines.

Yet some people will support and encourage supplying terrorists in Syria with arms. They don't learn lessons, never. Soon these people will also see NATO/Israeli troops in their homes torturing them and looting their sisters.

How is it friends' fault if they (the Libyans) can't agree with each other on anything?

They got the means to talk, not my problem if they dont know how.

Those "friends" attacked Libya based on FAKE pretext, destroyed the country and left tens of thousands dead. Armed and trained gangs who are feuding and killing each other now. Thanks a lot for another "humanitarian" intervention which left yet another country in ruins. Is that "friends" fault? Absolutely.

Tell what? That they are responsible for themselves after dictator is gone?

You are such a hypocrite: if there were boots on the ground in Libya you would be screaming of infidel injustice, when there are only aircraft used to get rid of a dictator you are screaming also and trying to blame NATO for the inability and tribal mentality of the Libyans.

There WERE boots on the ground, starting with Qatar, Saudis, UAE, etc. Initially NATO sent its special forces, but later when 6 months assigned window was ending, UK and France send battalions of its soldiers to "finish the job".

We aren't here to hold anyone's hand. We just dont want a terrorist breeding shithole 500km away from Europe.

So thats why West armed and funded terrorists like Al Qaeda, MEK, etc., because they didnt wanted them? :woot: I guess West actions spoke louder than your words, they wanted them, and still do - Syria, Iran, etc. on their way.
