When will BrahMos breach Mach 7 barrier?

the scram jet demonstrator is exactly what it is a demo, there is a rocket motor assisting the scram jet for a sustained combustion. it is yet to have the thrust to carry the missile under its own power.
And your point is what again?

Almost every scramjet out there needs to be assisted in someway for it to achieve the required thrust.

in a normal scenario they do need to be assisted to get to the desired speed for a scram jet to function as required.

but in the indian scenario the rocket motor was still engaged as the scramjet engine was working as the motor was needed to have a sustained speed. the scramjet engine on it own wont have a fraction of the power required to move a rocket. as shown on the picture.

whilst the world is working on developing scramjet technologies that allow them to carry a body (missile over a lenghty distance. india is working on perfecting shockwave compression for a sustained combustion let alone generate large amounts of power.

Well no $hit, this was only the first test.
Maintaining the flame at supersonic speeds is difficult enough, which is what was tested.

What you are looking for will only come after 4-5 tests in.

I am not a British national.
what about a pakistani national? or do you wish you were?

well looking at the comments i was under the impression india would have pretty much finished development.

as amardeep said it would take a decade. which in my opinion is a fair conservative guess.

as for the brahmos going hypersonic(mach 5+) it can happen under this new missile and a brahmos 2 is a possibility but under the current framework where russia builds the sensitive parts, but given the current decline in relations with russia even that possibility is looking bleak.
