he was talking to Vajpaee when both were unable to get the finalised draft to sign which in principle both had agreed and were to sign but apparently Advani or RAW were not happy with it (according to Musharraf) and the moment was lost.. Musharraf was not hinting anything he actually said this to Vajpaee expressing their helplessness. of course any such agreement had to be mutual and couldn't be forced upon but it seems that Indian hawks didnt want any part of it. as for Pakistani hawks Musharraf himself was the hawk who had proposed a gradual normalisation and peace among the two nations.
but like we always say.. that is history and we are left with bollocking each other for rest of our lives.

its no secret
they had agreed on solution of sir creek, the Siachin and even Kashmir in general terms (making the LoC irrelevant, free movement, trade etc).. it was so much good that it was unbelievable and maybe that's why it didnt appeal the status quo

and it seems that we are cursed to live like fcking losers when it comes to peace and security

Factually incorrect.
Our army (and intelligence agencies) have to a large extent insulated us from what can only be described as "OPEN SLAUGHTER". The increased security allowed us economic safety and prosperity. those 500000+ lives are not for 0 profit. they are for reduced loss.

Now a pakistani may be tempted to give a similar argument , except he can't .
