When it landed in Hiroshima

Its funny when they talk about nuclear proliferation.

After causing such a devastation.

USA continues to develop next generation --- most devastating nuclear weapons.

reminds me of the wish " all guns to be destroyed except mine"

Perhaps, this should be a reminder for everyone of the U.S., and how much it cares about nuclear weapons. Please.. side off. :D

Japan had offered surrender conditionally after the first bomb was dropped. In spite of this, the US decided to drop a second one just to show the might of the western powers.

USA might not have the moral upper hand, but it is the duty of USA and all other nuclear nations to ensure that no new names are added to the club.

Its a little hard to accomplish that when the policy of "US interests above all else" threatens the sovereignty and stability of countries that don't follow U.S diktat.

Part of that "duty", indeed perhaps the most important part, is to ensure that your mere "existence" does not instill such a fear of "national survival" that countries have to resort to developing the "ultimate weapon" to ward you off.
