Our JF17? who is "our" you? PAF is merely a customer with alot of privileges such as TOT and handful of subsystems acquired from different sources. just get off your high horses and next time dont open a thread with a stupid question that has been answered billion times.
Your overreaction is not welcome similarly.

.
Well well well when this thread was started it was merely a general inquiry thread but 1 day later India launched their attack in night hmmm

Who would have thought India would do something at 3 am in night

Now , it seems PAF really have to ponder about their production rates and Modernization efforts, Indians lost few planes sure , but they realized their mistake have already started to replace the factors which lead to mistakes (Sacked their Air chief)

I always stated to create more factories for Processing larger numbers

  • 2014 - We missed boat on the 36 J10B Jets
  • 2016-2017 We missed on the orders of F16 due to financial factors
  • 2009-2019 , 10 years we have only managed to pile up 100 planes that is a average of about 10 planes or so , per year
Both these aspects have hindered our modernization efforts

Sure the news about JF17 Block III , this year (Prototype) , great news
JF17 Block II , with Twin seat , great news

However the question right now is speed of modernization

I mean we have means to achieve faster Modernization
  • J10C (2 Squadrons)
  • JH-7 (2 Squadrons)

Do not think that Pakistan will be adding any more JF-17 squadrons this year.

All the JF-17s produced this year will be for Myanmar(16) and Nigeria(3).

Block 3 is likely to go into production this year and the first squadron raised next year.

I think PAF is quite able to handle IAF as it has 100 JF-17s and 70-80 F-16s.

The reason for only 100 JF-17s being produced so far may be due to the fact that the PAF wanted to save resources so that it can order many more Block 3s as those are far more capable with AESA radar, more powerful engine and can integrate the latest Chinese WVR and BVR AAMs. Pakistan could easily build 150 Block 3 aircraft by 2025.

.
But as I said before if we really did get 150 then no harm to state it
My own estimates we should be around 126

The ceremonial seats and the Big Pakistani Flag do tend to claim , we might actually have 150+ Units

We have the 150th plane, all shined and ready to go , an a pilot taking ceremonial picture , in a ceremony for induction

Does the "four plane "sign at the plane tail, inditcates this pilot has shot down four enemy planes? :yahoo:

.
May be that is a Symbol of a new Unnamed Squadrons
"Wolfpack" or "Wolves" was once mentioned in forums as a possible squadron name

4 Thunders hunting in group hmm would fit the bill sure sounds like wolfpack

For Example "Black Panthers"

Samajh rahe hain na ape sub

  • Not Pheonix
  • Not Spiders
  • Not Panthers
  • Not Tail Choppers
  • Not Minhas
  • Not Fierce Dragons

Who could be these mysterious squadrons ?
And why 150? It was not certainly the Pilot's birth day that is for sure

Too bad this one doesn't have an English version, this documentary is about the creation of JF-17. The scientists worked around the clock for years but the government was about to killed this project for other ones because of lack of funds and all the JF-17 research team so so disheartened to learn the decision and feeling was like to see the death of their own child.

But suddeny there came the news that Pakistan airforce liked to fund this project and was willing to take the riske of getting nothing back if the project failed, and the whole team was so psyched and it's like offering them a second life. Pakistan save the JF-17, It's only a Pakistan jet in every sense.
