Two powerful women get together - who'll have the upper hand?

The impending interaction between America's secretary of state Hillary Clinton and West Bengal's chief minister Mamata Banerjee is set to be an attention-grabber. Not because they're soul-sisters in any way, but because Clinton's apparently poised to dive into the stormy Teesta water-sharing issue with Didi - due to whose hissy fits the India-Bangladesh deal on Teesta evaporated in steam.

And as if this wasn't tricky enough, Clinton may also raise the thorny issue of foreign direct investment ( FDI) in retail, pausing to ask, 'Why such Kolaveri, Di?' (throw in a bit of the local parlance here, and never mind if Tamil Nadu isn't West Bengal - or 'Poschimbongo' as Didi recently rechristened it). Mamata should be pleased. In simpler times, foreign leaders paid obeisance only to the power behind the throne, Sonia Gandhi. Now Hillary's addressing the power behind the power behind the throne. It's backhanded - but a compliment nonetheless.

But those who know Mamata's manners say Clinton should be prepared for responses bordering even on the bizarre. Let's not forget how Didi reacted recently after a harmless cartoon of hers was circulated by a Kolkata academic. The caricature's punch-line read, 'Dushtu log, vanish', may the evil disappear, but Didi's friends and fans tried making the hapless professor disappear! In dealing with mercurial Mamata, Clinton must watch her step.

Yet, it may take more than a brush with Didi to dull Clinton's spirits. Hillary's discovered a charming secret that's adding light to her life - herself. Once known for her arctic personality, that stiff upper lip which never trembled - not even when Bill was discovered to have done a bit more in the White House than push files about - Hillary's always displayed tight self-possession. But as her current work avatar ends, Clinton seems to have decided it's time she lightened up. Recent weeks have seen her laughing at pictures of herself apparently deep in tweets, adding merrily to jokes online about the hilarious new Hil, even taking in her stride Barack Obama's naughty cracks about her supposed drunk-texts from Cartagena, where the US secret service found itself partying hard - then refusing to pay adequately well - with understandably annoyed pretty women.

Hillary may have kept her cool then but she's clearly decided to teach her spooks a thing or two - about punishment postings. The Kolkata voyage comes in perfect time where following a rape case, Didi's made it mandatory for all pubs and clubs to shut shop at 12 sharp, Shinderella-shtyle. The US secret service can forget about painting that particular town red - it's blue and with good reason. So, that's one thing less for Hillary to worry about while persuading Didi to see the light. And though the secret service may sulk as they skulk around, here's wishing Hillary good luck - for alongside sharing and caring, she may even teach Didi the art of chilling.

one has to find out that why US suddenly offered her services in resolving such like tiny issue in the presence of other major disputes like; Sino-India border issue, Kashmir issue, minority issue of India and including her domestic problems like brutality against Maoists, minorities and Sikhs that are claiming for Khalistan. The answer could be that probably US is interested to drag Bangladesh in her Indo-US Strategic Block been mainly established against China, Pakistan, Iran and Sari Lanka.


India happens to be one of the few countries in the world which do not have cordial ties with any of their neighbours. Backing and supporting India militarily in the name of Indo-US Strategic Relationship is posing great threat to the regional and global peace and would be viewed with concern by peace believers.

It is also mentionable here that New Delhi has also launched major effort to develop laser weapons for military applications. Reportedly, Indian military is working on laser weapons for deploying on its submarines, destroyers, air force fighters and transport planes.

American leadership always has broadcasted underline messages to China and Pakistan whenever visited Asian region and tried to threatening Indian neighbouring countries while carrying out arms pacts with India.

the entire gamut of bilateral strategic relationship between India and USA is threatening the regional and global stability due to obvious reason of Indian quest of piling up of armaments.

US desire of putting India as her regional watchdog is an open secret now because she continuously backed and supported India in regional and international issues. In this connection she refused to play any role in settlement of Kashmir issue which could become the flash point of next nuclear war.
