They will not say a thing about goras, but when it comes their own next door neighbors, people who should be known to you the most, they behave as little $tupid primitive beings, then one has to sit back and ask

In the large schemes of things these are just trivialities..
Indians may think of Pakistanis as illiterate terrorists or super men from Mars..doesnt make an iota of difference to Pakistani's.
Pakistani's may think of Indians as ??...doesnt make an iota of difference there either.

What matters is that the respective nations prosper economically and socially...those are the only barometers that are important all over the world..the rest is just noise.

I have studied Joe M. thoroughly.

He had good points and bad.

FYI. Many of his "victims" did turn out to be members of communist party.

Coming back to Pakistan,

I am OK if our commies get the courage and declare themselves as "communists" out in the open.

I want our socialists to come out with courage and declare themselves as "socialists" out in the open.

That way we can debate and make compromises.


In Pakistan the problem is that commies and socialists hide behind Islamism and Hazrat Umar rah.

Thus the term "Islamo-socialism", that was most effectively used by a big feudal lord known as Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.

This commie went ahead and nationalized all the banks, all the factories, all the schools and colleges.

Standards went down the drain, banks were robbed, and factories looted by the commies.

While the feudal lord himself and his cronies accumulated even more land.


that's the hypocrisy in our society, and this is what I talk about.


I wish there was a Joe McCarthy who would have stood up against the commies BEFORE our industry, our education institutions and our banks were robbed.

And

unfortunately we didn't have one.

These same commies and socialists now put on a green cloak of Islamism and spread conspiracy theories against jews, zionism, America etc.


And sadly many Indians on PDF copy and paste the same conspiracy theories.

He had good points and bad.

Just as I do see some "dinosaur-like" hard-core Communists; there are also similar "dinosaur-like" Cold-Warriors around. Nothing much really to it then, ehh.

See that "failed state" characterization is simply a lot of 'Bunkum' aka Bakwas. But that does not mean that all is hunk-dory. I do not think that Robert Kaplan is pushing that point at all.
Inspite of the fact that Robert Kaplan tends to be visceral in his writings towards all (including the USA), there are some points that he makes which are thought-provoking. But that itself may not be palatable "all around", if I may say so.

Even the basic premise that he has postulated over time: that Geography controls many strategic issues rather than Countries and Governments does tend to make people feel uncomfortable. But his writings are worth a serious read anyway. He has correctly understood the importance of Iran to the region which most people would wish to overlook.

There is simply no need to justify the existence of India. India has just been around for millenia in one form or the other. and nothing has changed yet. Inspite of anybody's 'discomfort' with that fact.

Of course if you feel that it gives you an excuse to churn out some more "picturesque language", so be it.
But inspite of your 'nick'; Literature comes more easily to you than History does, which is also fine.

One of the major issue with so many Indian posters on this thread is that they fail to perform critical analysis of OP.
