Geopolitics is ruthless. And a splendid display of narrative building, as @Pan-Islamic-Pakistan mentioned; dehumanizing and re-humanizing the very same people. It actually went from creation to disowning, dehumanizing and now re-humanizing. This sh!t is completely on another level though... I will love to see now western media outlets to justify every single thing out of it.

They have lost any shred of dignity and self-respect. No one in the Muslim world believes them anymore. We remember how US pushed and supported Daesh in Afghanistan, and even bailed them out of losing battles with Taliban. All their strategies have failed and now they are admitting defeat, hoping Taliban will give them face-saving instead of the humiliation they deserve.

Uncle Tom is totally pathetic.

Fact - Your govt authorized the taliban to "talk" with the US.

Fact - Thats a lie.

Pakistan facilitated the talks, and ISI used its contacts to convince senior figures in the Taliban to talk. It took a lot of time and effort for Pakistan to try and bring them to the table, as they were more than happy to wait the US out.

Dont try and spin that into something as ridiculous as "authorising" them to talk.

Fact- Taliban couldnt have entered formal, binding talks with US without Pakistani govt aka ISI approving and allowing it happen. Dont be naive, taliban is not doing anything big like this IF Pakistan doesnt want it.

Instead of blindly believing in conpiracies, go look at the reality. The Taliban has refused peace talks several times in the past, despite Pakistans position since the beginning of the invasion being that the US and Taliban negotiate.

Pakistan doesnt control the Taliban, it has contacts which it has maintained since the soviet invasion. Dont try and conflate the two.

We cannot authorize taliban to do any thing cause taliban have now evolved into a different thing they are not a proxy any more. USA made a mistake for 18 years of not realizing that taliban are stake holders in Afghanistan. It is good USA has realized and is leaving the region. Coming to Afghanistan is never difficult the difficult part is getting out.

This could go both ways. Taliban also listen to Iran as well.

BUt most of the Taliban's leadership lives in your country as we speak! so your country has serious leverage. Mullah Omar, Mullah Dadullah, Mulllah Mansour, all of them lived in Pakistan. stop pretending to have no power or influence over the taliban when you are the one with the biggest influence over the Afghan Taliban.

Mullah Omer lived next to Nato base whole his hideaway period.

Mullah mansoor died while traveling from Iran.

So am I missing anything here.

Now why do I have to pretend anything here? If taliban were under our control we would own them but they are not. No one here can blame us for having ties with taliban cause countries here have ties to far worst regimes in the world. I think taliban are least of those. Plus Pakistan was authorized by USA to have contact with Afghan Mujahideen please remind me when did USA stop Pakistan from having any contact with Mujahideen after soviet left. USA just ditched Afghanistan in a mess after Soviets and Pakistan had to keeps it neighbor hood in some type of law and order.

You simply didn't get my post. Let me clarify, do you remember the whole narrative about them being evil, not negotiating with them, they need to be destroyed etc regarding the network? What happened to that?

Also they’re not my government...

Please can you stop writing Fact, before you write your post. Just because you think it's a fact doesn't mean it is.
Another side point , why don't you have an Iranian flag in your profile? You are of Iranian decent right?

Get your facts right first of all. Mullah Omar lived and died barely a few miles away from one of the largest US bases in Afghanistan.

Even the guys you are talking about don't have full authority over the talibans.
