Punjab & Haryana: Rich states + bases of Many Companies+ Production of Grains+Universities+ Centres of Ancient Indian Events and heritage places + contribute a lot in military: D
Rajasthan: Solar and Wind Power Production+ Ancient Indian buildings+ Good Place for army for testing weapons.
Gujarat: India's fastest growing economy, highly industrialized, centres of Space and defence research, Gujarat has some of few cities on which India can compare itself with west+ smart cities under construction+ many more things.

Maharashtra: Culture+ Economy+ Large and Developed cities+ Big Universities and Institutions
Karnataka: Incredible state with Culture, Science and Many Booming Technologies+ Karnataka produces a large portion of countries science+ Good for rocket launch so home of ISRO+ Bangalore can already be called a smart city
