Exactly my point...that asia is so much more religiously, ethnically and racially diverse that it does not make sense to compare them to the europeans....if europeans had as much diversity as asia they would have killled themselves long back...but belonging nominally to the same religion and same civilization has helped them...anyway how much superior these "europeans" are will only become visible in the upcoming years...when europe reels under a financial crisis and its exposure to islam increases...

Really now? Most global conflicts (especially long term) are between people of the same race. Take South Asia, East Asia, Middle East (Jews and Palistenians are both semitic), etc, etc. etc. Proximity generates conflict.

I am not talking about societies. I am talking about reasons why EU does not deserve the peace prize. Some of those reasons are racism, anti-semitism, anti-muslim hatred amongst other things.

I think you misunderstood ?. Race is a purely western concept. That is why the western world is plagued with racism. In India for example, we dont recognize race. You wont even find race and ethnicity questions anywhere even for job applications. Am sure same is the case with Pakistan. And the conflicts in South Asia dont have anything to do with race. It doesnt even figure in the argument, nor is it important. Its border disputes, regional politics etc., But this is not in discussion here. Lets not digress.

My whole point is that Europe categorically does not deserve a peace prize. Its not very peaceful. And when those countries indulge in actual human rights abuses in the middle east, they shouldnt be given that prize. Anyway, it just leads the world to think less and less of the nobel peace prize. Its ridiculous.

If Germany were to stop bailing out countries like Spain, Greece, Portugal, Belgium, etc. they'd be finished. Much of Europe's younger population are regarded as the 'lost generation'. It's sad really.

We don't see that in Turkey, India, China, etc.

IMHO, EU winning the prize is indeed well deserved. Look at what they have collectively achieved as a Union. A Union of States which were at war for most part of their medieval and modern histories for even the flimsiest of reasons. But look at them now, their standard of living, human rights, development indices, etc. Its funny to see that many immigrants from Muslim countries emigrate to EU countries just to enjoy the economic and human rights benefits and yet criticize EU policies!

Btw, I would have been equally happy to see Edhi Foundation win the Nobel.
