Once on cruise control the car drives at the same speed unless you dont accelerate or brake it, in short once the car is on cruise control you dont have to do anything with your leg...you just chill.

I hate cruise control, automatic gear, ASR, ESP... anything that takes the control of the car from you. (Except for ABS..... it saved me many times )

Is it 1.4 or 1.6, or diesel ? Mine was 1.4 and even Fiat Doblos could pass me on the ramp.

That's a rip off if i ever saw one. Over here you get the newer 2007 model for less than 30k.

There is difference, the picture you posted is Passat US edition, maybe the "Magotan" in China is the Passat EU edition. In China, we have both of them. They are build by different car makers, Magotan is from FAW-Volkswagen, Passat is from Shanghai Volkswagen, both of them are German-China joint venture factory.

Frankly i dont switch to cruise control often.I have license for an automatic car because those driving tests are easier to pass.
If I am not wrong, many prados and landcruisers have been recalled from this part of the world for their defective cruise controls.So it has instilled a fear in me about it. And there were also a few accidents reported due to faulty cruise controls.

Where's the Bugatti fan @T-123456 ??? Dont see him much on the forum these days.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, in the warm months i mostly use a moped to cruise around during the day and to do errands. Doesn't need helmet, registration, license, you fill it once a week for 5€'s.....
