Hello .
Tell me, are the beggars of Pakistan worth of our charity ? The types we see in Pakistan that have their hands or foot broken ? The type of women who ask for money and then others chase u ? You know once I give to one other followed me and when I didn't give her she abused me and cursed me . I regretted
.
I've see many in market where they have their hands and foot broken and they sit outside mosques or roam in markets to beg money ?

Of course they're harmless but just that , what's their reality .?

Are they trustworthy ? I easily trust people .

If you are giving charity than trust God that it will be useful.

That's why it is preferred to give to relatives first or those of who you know.

Its much about the attitude.

The question you are asking is about the organised crime or a Mafia like business. That is something different. A sad pitiful corner of human existence.

There are plenty of charities going around but I can't endorse one in fairness.

State sanctioned or under patronage of state institutions is my only next best answer to the preferred method

I give it both to random people on streets as well as dedicated charities with proper infrastructure. I think both way helps in its own way.

Do not be so quick to judge the ones on the street, even if they are forced to do it, they are still getting rizq from what you are giving. Rest is for God to judge, it is our responsibility as humans to look after each other.

Honestly i get the trust in Allah Concept. But having complete knowledge that beggars is a proper business with divided areas. the beggars you see in Markets And Specially Signals. Still its ok to give them in the name of Allah?

You have so many needy right in front of you. the Chotu working on the workshop, The chaey wala boy, the waiter, the Sweeper of your street, the kaam wali masi, the pheri wala, The Mali, The Cobbler, The Kulli, They are all needy. Give them.
Plus all the credible charity institutes that are everywhere. Donate to them even if you have 10 rupees. For got sake not those Charsi baggers. Allah have given us insight and knowledge to see

İn Islamabad, there's a cesspool of beggars. Every Markaz is dominated by their lot. One can't exit their vehicle without being chased by women and children. Unlike their usual telltales, they engage you in conversations and try to convince you why they deserve your money. Ever since metro has operationalized, they've been given an easy access as most come from Rawalpindi. I don't know who runs this mafia but it has corrupted the youth. Young, well dressed guys approach you and tge first thing they say is; Sir I'm not a beggar but... and in the next few minutes he's the neediest of needy.

And someone's poverty annoys you?
Lol
I love it how you guys in Islamabad are so connected with the rest of Pakistan.

We have Sodom and Gomorrah but also shaddad.

Lets see how things go. Maybe this time shaddad gets to stay in his own built heaven.

No, we aren't "annoyed" by poverty. I'm sorry you feel that way. People here donate wholeheartedly. We are against the Mafia that's forcing them to scavenge and beg. Transgenders are beaten up by their operators when they fail to collect a specific amount of money. You'll find hundreds of them in each commerical zone. Most are healthy men with not even the minutest sign of disability.

We here in Peshawar has an organized Changgar community. They are outsiders not native of our province. Daily vehicles mostly Suzukis full of women and children from this community are dropped in different markets, including cantonment ones, bus terminals and other such busy areas in the morning.

The same women and children whom you give alms; you come face to face with them in another street, ,another market another busy road even during the same day. You recognise and realise you just gave them money a while back but they instantly refuse to recognise you. Interestingly they are always women and children and no man from this community.

Then there are local beggars including males and females. 50% of them are needy 50% have different reasons to beg including old age, pressure from sons and their wives to earn and bring money home.

Some people are habitual.

Then there are local children who become habitual to beg even if they are selling you small things like toffees, ,pencils etc etc . They are the most annoying since they will stick to your cloths like glue and keep pulling your shirts and chadars and sometime even trousers  You will be forced to pay ghunda tax.

Then there are some shrewd 10 to 12 years boy children who you see selling elastic

In Peshawar cant bazaars and they will make your life hell and either force you to buy if not then you will end up giving them some money for nothing.

So all kinds of beggars are there.

Now whom to give well that is everyone's personal choice.

I usually do not turn down most of them except the elastic selling ones.

Most beggars are professionals, they usually belong to gypsy/nomadic like people in punjab. They are likely ancestors of Romanian gypsy looking at their life style. They force their children to either beg or scavenge. Better give money to Edhi foundation.

Over 137 beggars arrested in Pindi

RAWALPINDI: The City Traffic Police (CTP) has rounded up 137 beggars from the city during June while 55 cases have been lodged against professional beggars. According to Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Yousaf Ali Shahid, the cases were registered in police stations across the city. He said that among those caught, 51 beggars were children.

These children had been handed over to the Child Protection Bureau (CPB) for rehabilitation. Further, Shahid said that they had formed a special anti-beggar squad of CTP and Rawalpindi district police which raided different roads and intersections in accordance with the law was being taken against beggars.

Still he calls me later, I tell him about the job.. guess what... he tells me he doesnt want job but 50,000RS instead..
