What is the point of this thread?
and saying what is the BEST CAPITAL city is a really really ultra dumb question.
you cannot choose a city by its beauty or size to be a capital city.

Pakistan's poverty has never been declining, that's what Google public data says, not me.

We already discussed this separately. The data on google data is outdated big time. Find the latest figures.

United nations developement programme says poverty percent in Pakistan is more than India, that's why i am stunned to see pakistani people talking about poverty in india
List of countries by percentage of population living in poverty - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
And no wonder Pakistna's gdp per capita is less than India's.

Are you going to continue acting like a buffoon? Check out the wikipedia data yourself. Pakistan's poverty level is NOT more than bharat's.

Also, people in Dhravi live better, LOL, and you prove that by giving Mumbai's GDP? really basic economics missing. You do realize that probably nearly all of India's rich live in Mumbai? What effect would that have on GDP? Ever heard of something called income inequality?

If its capital than its Islamabad and if its city than offcourse Chandigarh. Tusi can't win from the Chandigarh trio.

Nice Metro i agree.
But Isloo doesn't even need metro system, not even a bus because mostly people have their own cars.
But i think the govt should introduce Metro systems in big cities like Karachi & Lahore. Well i must say Pakistanis should learn from Indians how to develop & how to strengthen the economy.

Were it not you who was ruing how wikipedia has become a medium for propaganda the other day so much so that you even started a thread?

Yes, I was reconsidering that. Check the latest UNDp figures as provided by the links provided by Karachiite. Those are the latest figures. In fact, it seems that old figures have been deliberately published for Pakistan on Wikipedia considering that the new figures have been available for a long time now.

Why do I feel that you post first and think later? That day you started the thread and then rued opening it. Today you referred to wikipedia and again are 'reconsidering' it. You should take your time before you post, you know.

Because wikipedia is typically reliable when it comes to these kinds of things, einstein. I didn't expect lies to be printed in these pages. It's typically the pages that are political that are problematic.

As for the other day, the only reason it became pointless was because it got trolled the hell out of by yourself and your friends. I stated that over and over again in that thread, obviously you missed it. Obviously you don't create a thread expecting that it will be trolled, but knowing people such as you and some of the other bharatis on this forum, that's obviously something I can't take for granted anymore. Despicable people. Personification of mob rule, intimidation, etc. It would've been a good thread if you (not all Indians, just Indians such as you) weren't here. You obviously won't last too long on this forum, so enjoy the time while you can.

i did not support islambad. bcoz islamabad doesnt have no world famous universities. in india there are world famous iim for mba , for engineering world famous iits are there. in my opinion if education is good it will automaticall develop the nation. thats y america and china have fear in their hearts. bcoz india is emerging with knowledge and technology. recently american president barak obma also praised the knowledge and technology of banglore. new delhi have world class institutions. the 8 iim s in india very famous for mba. recently the kolkatta iim student got an offer from an international company with the package of 1.80 crores per annum. this is the record breaking in india. we building the nation through knowledge.

IIMs raise the cutoff bar, entry becomes tougher

All the IIMs have already dispatched the interview letters to the short-listed candidates for PI and GD based on the overall percentile and cut-off percentile in each section. Of the four IIMs - Ahmedabad, Calcutta, Indore and Kozhikode- the IIM-Ahmedabad has a cut off percentile of 99.3 and above.

BANGALORE: Getting into IIMs is never easy. When the Indian Institutes of Management announced the cut-off percentiles for the admission process on Wednesday, a few of the IIMs had raised their cutoffs.

did islamabad have institutions like this? iam not criticizing pakisthan. see the truth we are building the nation through knowledge. what about pakistan?
Like IIM Ranchi, which had the highest cut-off of 99.65 percentile among all IIMs last year, has further raised it to 99.66 for the 2011-13 batch. At IIM-Calcutta, Ranchi's mentoring institute, the cutoff is 99.59. IIM Ahmedabad announced that 540 students whose overall percentile is 99 and of each section were 94 would be called for the personal interview. IIM Lucknow, which is one of the CAT 2010 organising institutes, has increased the weightage to CAT scores. ( Read: IIM-Bangalore ranked among top 25 business schools in the world )

What was 30% for the CAT scores has gone up to 37.5% for the next batch. The fees, too, have been raised from Rs 8 lakh to 12 lakh. IIM Kozhikode has also decided to give 50% weightage to CAT score, 15% to GD and social skills, personal interview 25% and writing task 10%.

Interestingly, many IIMs are set to take in more women and non-engineering students to increase the diversity in the institute. IIM-L has decided to give 2.5 more points for these candidates. The directors of newer IIMs will meet next week to decide on holding joint PIs and GDs. ( Read: New IIMs join hands )

The scores for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2010 were released on Wednesday. There are eight candidates who scored 100 percentile and 19 with 99.99 percentile. Of the latter group, two are women — one from Kerala and the other from Andhra Pradesh. And all of them are engineers. ( Read: CAT 2010: 8 engineers score 100 )

While many students found it difficult to access results online, the IIMs said that the website did not crash. "The highlight of the day was that the website did not crash despite around two lakh students checking the result on the web. The fact that it was slow was something that was impossible to help," said Himanshu Rai, convener, CAT. However, the rumours that the CAT results had leaked in the first week of January turned out to be true. ( Read: CAT out of the bag, but plays elusive to many )
