I thought engineering was maths made into reality.

i love engineering and it is backbone of technology infrastructure and development in modren world

Good post volks. Now just remember - Microsoft certified 'Engineer' is not Engineer as they have not gone through the formal education process of Engineering degree; many countries have had Microsoft take those titles out because it is not qualified to award the title of Engineer. Similarly a Computer Scientist cannot be considered a Software Engineer and list goes on.

Hopefully this will assist anyone venturing into this area of studies.

This video explains the facets of civil engineering, including structural and construction engineering, city planning, transportation, and sanitation.

Today we continue our tour through the major fields of engineering with a look at mechanical engineering, beginning with the steam engine. We’ll discuss aircraft, the development of aerospace engineering, and take a look into the future of robotics and biomechanics.

Next stop on our tour of engineering’s major fields: electrical engineering. In this episode we’ll explore the history of telecommunications, electric power and lighting, and computers. We’ll introduce topics like magnetism, electrical conduction, telegraphy, lighting, and computers.

I have studied the four branches of Engineering in a University special program that was called Unified Engineering.. graduated in the Civil specialisation it was the toughest with many branches of its own.. a while ago though..
I encourage anyone who is good in Mathematics and physical sciences to explore the possibilities offered in this field, and its newer fields, like Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Bio-Physics_Bio-Chemistry Engineering and so on..8-)

Today we’ll cover the fourth and final of our core disciplines of engineering: chemical engineering. We’ll talk about its history and evolution going from soda ash competitions to oil refineries and renewable energies. We’ll also discuss some newer and emerging fields like biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.
