Man that is interesting. The weapon looks incredibly real but it looks like some guy in his bedroom and I know IA and SF can't just take their weapons home with them. Possibly belongs to some special police unit like a SRT/SWAT?

All i can say is that he is from the Army.He has too many Army personnel in his friends list.

isn't it other way around ??? Police units like SRT/SWAT can't take weapons out of their station without any reason. Even officers below the rank of PI have to submit service revolver before signing off.

Yup..i was soo surprised to see this.Something fishy is going on....I have seen many people posing with M-16s specially from the N-E region and you know where it comes from but this is something very rare...Its a H&K...and that too with a guy who has 60% Army guys in his friends list including senior officers...

I seriously hope we get few kick @ss Indian carbins with a few international ones. The combination of different firing platform will wreck havoc on enemy.

Bharat ki akhandata todne ki koshish mein 5 saal Tihar jail mein....Jokes apart i believe he might be under cover or something but again the question rises how the heck did he have a H&K??The IA doesnt have it nor does the CRPF/BSF...and why did he only have it...Lastly if he is a SF operator he shouldnt be posing with it on Facebook that to keeping the privacy level to public...All i am interested in is how does he have a H&K?

He might have been returned to his unit after the SOF patch. And pic would be old.
I won't be surprised to see M246 toooo :D

And more over how many of US can identify HK ??? This is big question. Army man with gun is common sight. And people are like me- aren't good in identification.

His unit won't get H&K true. But he would have click it before and posted after returning to unit. It's just my guess bro. SOF wont do something like this. My friend didn't show me all the pics. Let alone posting it on FB

I am all out of guesses bro. That was the best I could.

We can confirm -
Non of IA regular infantry has H&K
Non of PARA/GARUD/NSG has H&K
Don't know about MARCOS but I think they preffer AKs

To buy a weapon for IA or SF you need a green flag from MOD and if YES we would have definatly saw that news.
I just checked on google if any police CRT has it but wouldn't find anything

There are two organisation that can buy weapons even from black market without NOD of MOD
And one of them is RAW and other is SOF

Friends..can we discuss what INSAS program has really achieved after 15 years of its inception & what will be its future. There is always conflicting news on INSAS, some say its still going on because of national pride. Experts & forces have culmination of views from saying it, better than M16 to describing it as failure, news often comes that army may scarp this rifle. Variants like Excalibur, Minsas, Kalantak & MSMC are till under user & trial phase and nothing much have been heard about their induction .How much it has really achieved ?????????? :what::what::what:
Sir,
Insas rifle system has been a very effective low cost solution that utilized the best to offer from three rifle systems, viz. AK47, FN FAL, and the M16.

The action, long stroke gas system, rotating bolt, and stamped steel receiver gives it the ruggedness and reliability of an AK47, the Gas regulator from the FAL give it the ability to cycle rounds, even if the rifle’s gas piston is clogged. Although It has a stamped receiver, the tolerances are kept significantly tight along with the lesser reciprocating breach axis offset compared to AK, gives it reliable accuracy.

Although 5.56x 45 Nato attracts a lot of flak from critics, it is the most flat shooting round upto 300 yards, and is effective up to 600 yards. Although 7.62 x 39, the AK round has better terminal ballistics, the rounds justs drops too much. When 7.62 x 39 is zeroed at 100 yards, the compensation at 400 yards is nearly 60 inches making the target nearly disappear from the sight picture( which is the engagement range for IA positions in LOC), With a 5.56 you will have to compensate lesser, but compromise on terminal ballistics which a fair tradeoff, as you are hitting the target (if not completely neutralizing him).

Insas is controllable in full auto like the m16, whereas FAL becomes an ack ack in full auto and ak you spray and pray. Please bear in mind when the Insas came out, there was no 6.8 SPC or the 6.5 grendel options hence 5.56 was lesser of evil when it came to developing a battle rifle.
All these mix and match features gave you a reliable, low cost, accurate rifle borrowing on best features of contemporaries and minimizing drawbacks of the each mentioned systems.

Future of Insas rifle system:

Now India is in a position where stamped low cost rifle is not the need of the hour. New Insas or the F-Insas needs to have a solid machined receiver with high quality metals and precision machining.

New rifle system needs to be modular with 4 barrel systems and 5 quick change receivers, One barrel system can fire both 7.62x 39 and with change in receiver on the same barrel should accommodate the 7.62 x 51 nato (both the cartridges have same bullet but different casing lengths)

There should be dedicated receiver and barells for , 5.56 Nato, 6.8 SPC and a short barell system for OFB 5.56 x 30 round as a cqb carbine.

The system needs to be a bullpup system.

Rifle needs to have integrated peep sights, picatinny optics rails on and a quad rail system on the forward grips.

Rifle should also have tapped barrels and should come with a breaching flash hiders, a muzzle brake (for 7.62x 51) and a suppressor (for 5.56 x 30).

@COLDHEARTED AVIATOR

Bro, be careful of what you share here.I know you are mature enough but still. There are somethings which are not public for good, and i think this is not the right place to talk about it.
