1) US launching an attack on Pakistan after 9/11 together with Afghanistan and occupying Pakistan. Finally, with US leaving, Pakistan being balkanized and divided between India and independent states.

I'll just answer this first point which will make the rest of the points irrelevant.

Pakistan would not be occupied why? Duh the answers next door, they can't control afghanistan how the hell would they control a nation of 165+million. Every household having enough weaponary to collectively match the firepower of a few small nations.

Pashtuns a fierce warriors, the US can't control a "rag tag miltia/force" how the hell are they going to control an organised insurgency that would encompass 99.9% of the population.

We are a warrior race, gives us stones and sticks and we will resist. Fighting for our rights is our religious duty, you can bring all the firepower in the world and you will not and can't destroy this.

Nuke or not we will teach any enemy a lesson no matter what it takes. We are not the Japanese, we do not forget, if revenge/vengeance takes years we will wait.

Carry on day dreaming, we ain't no pushovers.

I think our strategic planners realized all the issues we could face in future hence went nuclear route.So all in all a very very good decision for Pakistan's Survival.

The ones I can identify at firsthand thinking are:

1) US launching an attack on Pakistan after 9/11 together with Afghanistan and occupying Pakistan. Finally, with US leaving, Pakistan being balkanized and divided between India and independent states.

Well if Pakistan didn't have nukes, they won't have got the guts to keep a dangerous migraine like Taliban and thereby ignore their hospitality towards AQ operatives in first place. The reason why they got the courage to nurture militancy against other countries like India and Afghanistan is because they thought the nuke umbrella could make them do anything.

2) China not being so economically advanced and subservient to India's mercy. Since Pakistan is balkanized and is subservient to India, China's energy routes to middle east is in control of India. China desperately fighting with vietnam/phillipines/japan and others to gain some oil fields in South China sea.

Actually if China had supported our stand on P _ K since beginning, we would have let them have a strategic corridor through that territory on preferential terms and they won't have ever needed Pakistan in first place.

3) Israel launching massive attack on Arabs and decimating all of them using Weapons of mass destruction. As a result, after the massive holocaust of Arabs, Israel's territory expands dramatically, encompassing all lands from Egypt to Iraq. Israel controls all Saudi and other Arab country's oil wells. Israel controls the Persian Gulf, strait of Hormuz, Gulf of Aden.


4) Islamic pilgrimage being stopped, because Israel controls Mecca and Madina after its expansion.

5) Palestinians being deported to another muslim country, like Turkey.

6) Israel demanding countries like Malaysia, Indonesia and others to recognise Israel and allow Israeli miiltary bases in their country. Otherwise, Israel will not allow oil from middle east to those countries.

Why do I get the feeling that you have a rather skewed amount of interest in Israel and India both specifically and somehow link it to Pakistan not having nukes?

I think our strategic planners realized all the issues we could face in future hence went nuclear route.So all in all a very very good decision for Pakistan's Survival.

No problem but misusing the nuclear umbrella is the reason for your present situation in your country.

Lets discuss: What do you think the geo-political scenario would be if Pakistan did not possess nuclear weapons? Assume that things are the same as today, with the US in Afghanistan, Iraq. Israel being very advanced militarily. India procuring massive weapon purchases etc.... Only exception in this "what if" is that - "Pakistan does not possess nuclear wepons". This topic is just an exercise to realize how Pakistan acquiring nukes have changed the geo-political scenario.

Dude, if the British managed to rule the Subcontinent for a whole 2 centuries, with these "fierce Sikh sardars", these "fierce Maratha" and these "fierce Pathan", not to mention the more than half the Subcontinent revolting every now and then, what makes you think the Americans couldn't control Pakistan? Not to mention both our neighbours on the West (Afghanistan) and east (India) would be more than happy to help them
