Well actually both Muslims and Hindus and some other faith like Buddhism were living in harmony in the subcontinent for thousand of years. People here as well as across the border existed as a wonderful society in the subcontinent before 1947 and continued till date here. The formation of Pakistan has been accepted as separate nation here in India, now no body here wants to assimilate Pakistan in India and people as a whole wants to communicate as world is a global village (Flow of material and information from remote parts of the world flows very quickly and people cannot be fooled easily as information is just few keys away) and be friendly to each other and many times politically these actions has been done in the past. The things needed now termination of activities that leads to loss of life.

Though unfortunate but muslims and Sikhs share a violent history. Two of their gurus were brutality murdered for not accepting Islam. The bottom line is apart from Kashmir all the other issues are mere undercurrents. Most Muslims are peace loving hard working people. There population growth rate is also going down drastically. What would ISI gain by that? India is too big and common man is fighting too hard for his survival to engage in such a conflict. All the communities know that mutual existence is the best option. Kashmir issue would have been long solved had article 370 been abrogated. India will never be a homogeneous country but can become a progressive heterogeneous country with education and economic growth.
