Hi guys,

Today I subscribed to a new mobile phone operator named "Bouygues Telecom" (pronounce it 'bweeg'). It was a discount, but basically I will have to pay €2,99/month during one year for unlimited calls, unlimited SMS and 20GO of data montly. (4G network of course)

When the discount will end, next year,I'll have to pay €24,99/month,but the data will be increased to 50GO/month.

Was wondering how much were you guys paying and what services do you get ?

@Hamartia Antidote @Kaptaan @Blue Marlin @A.P. Richelieu @Gomig-21 @Georg @Cell_DbZ @Nilgiri @anant_s @Sher Shah Awan @vostok et al.

I will have to pay €2,99/month
What next? Free. How can they afford this. Okay my contract is £35 with EE but is part of business contract that includes three other phones aggregating to £80. Mine has all features including free calls to 0800 numbers etc If you divide it equally my phone is £20 but if you get the features/iphone I got alone it would be £35.

£25 p.m.

Unlimited calls, texts and 4 GB of Data. That price includes the phone too. Yes I know I got a crap deal, and no, you can't rub it in.

Htf are you paying €2.99 p.m. for the first year????

I subscribe to Reliance Jio, it's a discount offer too. Although I think it'll continue further. Ok, the plan is such that, I had to pay around €4 (INR 290) to get 100 GB of data for 84 days (1.2 GB daily quota limit) unlimited SMS, Free calls. (4G)

I'll be migrating to a one year plan €65 which gives 350GB data unlimited calls, 100sms/day.

for me its quiet easy really, i pay £10 topup, i dont have a package, why? at home i have wifi, at work i have wifi, at my friends house......wifi. who actually texts anymore? and calls are not so frequent now. my tenner lasts me about 4-6 weeks and thats also 4g, heck even buses and trains have wifi. my carrier is 3 mobile.

@Vergennes if you are looking at getting a new phone/plan. get the phone and the sim separately as it works out cheaper, but carrier's throw in goodies. my isp offered me a ps4 a few weeks ago for a sony xperia for only £18p/m.
5000 mins unlimited texts and cant remember the data allowance. the catch.........its a 48 month contract. keep an eye for these sly cheap deals but long contract lengths and termination fees. they know how to screw you.
heck even the phones dont buy them new, get a grade A phone, it's just as good as new but better when you pay alot less, as the previous owner took the depreciation hit for you.

Ironically, there's a mobile phone operator called 'Free' and they made a discount of €0,99/month only for the first year for unlimited calls, unlimited SMS and 100GO of data/months. After one year, this will cost you €19,99/month. :p:

The discounts are available for a few days,so you had to be quick. But it's worth it.

I never buy the sim and the phone together as I know very well their tricks. Anyway,I have seen on TV that it was just cheaper to get your sim and buy your phone separately. I currently have an iPhone 5S and still very happy with it. No plans to change. For now at least!

good man, you never know there some nutters who fall for it and some who do it for convenience.
i have a sony z3. i got it as the z5 came out (it was cheap) and looks very similar.

I use Verizon so I’m probably with the most expensive company. I think it’s $75 for 2GB.i have like 8 devices on my plan so I don’t know the exact number.

Even the cheapest here is probably more expensive than you guys

$30’for 2GB

It’s not $75 for each additional device. If you have one phone it is pricey. If you have a lot it actually is not too bad.

On my personal phone, its around 65 CAD (about 40 euro) per month, unlimited calls (within Canada), unlimited SMS worldwide, unlimited pictures to Canada/US, real cheap calls to the US, One GB of data is covered free (after that its pay per use, I generally go slightly over each month). Bells and whistles like voicemail, caller ID all there.

All my sign up bonuses etc, are expired (I will probably get to negotiate some next year when I want to change phone), but I dont think it was as good as yours, like 20 euro discount per month, thats pretty nuts.

I have a work phone too but thats covered by my company fully, they get some huge discount by ordering some plan in bulk...but its strictly work related stuff but I use that one when I go international roaming etc.

When you say 20/GO and 50/GO is that GB or Gb...and is that the free chunk or the total max allowed etc? GB would be crazy. It sounds like a pretty great deal either way tbh. I hate the limited competition we have here in Canada (essentially 2 infra holders + few more provider only), the prices are stupid as a result compared to rest of the world.

I believe it's Gigabyte. In France, octet is generally used instead of byte.

When you reach the monthly limit (depending on your preferences),you either pay for the extra you use or your speed is reduced and what you can do is restricted. (But you don't get charged)

In France before 2012,three big providers were sharing themselves all the market. Orange,SFR and Bouygues Telecom. You ended up paying very high prices for minimum services and unlimited calls,SMS and maximum of 3GB of data would cost you not far from €100/months. Let's not even talk about other packages. Daylight robbery.

Then came Free mobile with €19,99/months deals that included more data and the rest unlimited. At that time,it was really a revolution. Obviously other operators had to align themselves on Free mobile's offer and price to stop the hemorrhage.

I pay 25 quid 5000 minutes for calls and unlimited text. 4G connectivity with rollback data.

I have monthly 20GB data but if I don't use any data it gets added to next refresh date. So right now I have 32GB of data to use by 16 December.

Mind you max you can keep is 40 so I have 40 GB a month :enjoy::enjoy:

O2 network.

Sim only contract. Unlimited calls and texts with 10gb 4g allowance.

18£ monthly rolling contract

Not sure about price but IMO the best UK network after using all.

All subscriptions in Sweden are 4G
My phone is €20,80 for unlimited phone call/SMSes and 1GB (which I never use).
My mobile Internet is on an iPad @ €10/month for 6GB (which I again never use up)
The subscription also gives free access to public hotspots.
My habits do not include downloading application, music, video over 4G.
100 MB FiberLAN is included in the rent in my appartment in Stockholm,
and I have FiberLAN in my summerhouse, where I can get a short time subscription
so I only pay when I am there. Often there are campaigns.
This year, I payed €10 per month for 250/100 Mbps.
All phone bills are tax deductible, since I run my own company, so in practise, I pay half of that.

The lowest cost mobile Internet which I have been using for years is to buy
a Telia SIM card subscription which includes 0,5GB per month for one year.
In Telia stores they go for €100, but they typically give them away to people
that buy a new phone.
Since using it means that You have to switch telephone number, not a lot of people
want to use them, so they sell them on eBay.
Not even on eBay, they are very attractive, so You can buy one for €2-3 including P&P.
You then have to activate it, which will cost You €5.
If You do not use more than 0,5GB, your Internet is €0,67 / month.
If you want it for your iPad, switching telephone number is not a problem,
since the Apple-Id is the key for people to connect to you, not the telno.
