Hi guys,

Today I subscribed to a new mobile phone operator named "Bouygues Telecom" (pronounce it 'bweeg'). It was a discount, but basically I will have to pay €2,99/month during one year for unlimited calls, unlimited SMS and 20GO of data montly. (4G network of course)

When the discount will end, next year,I'll have to pay €24,99/month,but the data will be increased to 50GO/month.

Was wondering how much were you guys paying and what services do you get ?

@Hamartia Antidote @Kaptaan @Blue Marlin @A.P. Richelieu @Gomig-21 @Georg @Cell_DbZ @Nilgiri @anant_s @Sher Shah Awan @vostok et al.
349 INR ( 6 USD) for three months. (84 days)
1. Unlimited Calls
2. Unlimited SMS
3. 1 GB 4 G data per day. After 1 GB speed drops to 512 KBPS.

I pay waaaaay too much, bro. I have to change my plan. I've had the same phone number since 1996 with what used to be Cellular One which then became Singular Wireless which is now ATT lol. That's called "longevity" man, when you have the same phone number through 3 different providers. Not just that, but all the other phones for the family and the guys at work etc. My bill is through the roof but I'm changing my plan soon so it should be cut in half.

On my personal phone, its around 65 CAD (about 40 euro) per month, unlimited calls (within Canada), unlimited SMS worldwide, unlimited pictures to Canada/US, real cheap calls to the US, One GB of data is covered free (after that its pay per use, I generally go slightly over each month). Bells and whistles like voicemail, caller ID all there.

All my sign up bonuses etc, are expired (I will probably get to negotiate some next year when I want to change phone), but I dont think it was as good as yours, like 20 euro discount per month, thats pretty nuts.

I have a work phone too but thats covered by my company fully, they get some huge discount by ordering some plan in bulk...but its strictly work related stuff but I use that one when I go international roaming etc.

When you say 20/GO and 50/GO is that GB or Gb...and is that the free chunk or the total max allowed etc? GB would be crazy. It sounds like a pretty great deal either way tbh. I hate the limited competition we have here in Canada (essentially 2 infra holders + few more provider only), the prices are stupid as a result compared to rest of the world.

Canadian Plans are a rip off when you look at what people pay in US, Europe, even in India and Pakistan.

Zong Supreme offer

3000 Zong mins
300 Off net mins
3000 MB Data - good enough to last whole month and still have some left over
3000 SMS all network.

Truth bro, truth. Rogers and Bell and all the lobbying they did wrecked free market in this sector beyond all sense.

Even the piggyback providers cant really do much, they have little margin to work with. Buddy of mine was part of the attempt to build anti-trust cases against the big 2....lets just say that he never saw all politicians of each party rally together supporting each other so quickly :P...and the thing never saw real light of day in court (CRTC just made some optical minor concessions that was about it). The argument is the size of the country given its population, so the established need to have their way with us as long as they please till they themselves declare when they have been recompensed for the initial investment of connecting canada. Its a poor argument given US market next door (and NAFTA) and its pretty clear all these political dumbasses have been paid off.

I pay INR 499/month on Airtel - this includes Unlimited calls, unlimited messages, some 25 gigs of data a month - but your excess data gets rolled over - I have about 200GB of data - and it keeps increasing - so virtually unlimited. They also give me unlimited roaming within India and a secure plan - which covers my phone for damage by accident but not theft.
