Because that's all they can ever think of when it comes to Bangladesh.

Some here even actually hire illegals, and complain at the same time.

Needless to say, India shares the largest border with Bangladesh than any other neighbor. And given Bangladesh's demographics, geography, and violent politics, it makes them.....nervous to a degree.

But then, they (normal everyday Indians) don't care about small neighbors like Bangladesh. But then, they still write about Bangladesh's political or security situation on famed magazines like Time, Newsweek, etc. Do we see Bangladeshis? Ever? What is the probability that the concern expressed in the OP article can reach an international audience?

Though, Joy did write a fantastic piece on our army being filled with religious nutjobs. He wrote it along with some American Harvard academic. Phew!
