What's new

What changes do you want in our education system ?

You are 20 years younger than me.

And unlike some Pakistanis, you know how to respect your elders.

Cheers, Doc
YOu have Five years MBBS in India like us or have different policy? At your time what was the merit?

Ya, it's closer to 4.5. state medical colleges (in my day) used to take in students on the basis of their board percentage. With add-ons for sports or wierdly if your dad had had a vasectomy ...

Domicile used to be a very hot issue with lakhs of rupees being spent by some to get domicile into states with good medical colleges. By hook or crook of course.

Then there were some top level Christian medical colleges (St John's, CMC) where being a Christian was a huge advantage. A letter from the Bishop of your area was worth its weight in gold. Non Christian students like me had to fight for a max remaining 5% of the seats.

Then there were the big top national colleges. AIIMS, AFMC, JIPMER, etc. which had national entrance exams (followed in some cases by high level interviews and physicals as in AFMC).

Lakhs of students from all over the country would sit for these exams. For 50-100 odd seats. Madness ...

Mine was also the second or third year if the all India CBSE PMT. Where a percentage of seats of all government medical colleges all over the country were kept aside for students of all states. You just had to be Indian. Some 2000 odd seats here. Again multiple lakhs of students giving the entrance. More madness ...

But the REAL madness begins when you become a medical student.

Cheers, Doc

Yes I can understand the toughness of Medical studies. But for a noble profession they are pre requisite and part of the game Odd five years will pass like a blink of an eye. When i was an engineering student i felt fear in the beginning how four years will pass, now almost i have four years practical experience and the life is going on.

We have almost 350 seats in Azad Kashmir divided on three categories and three medical colleges in Azad Kashmir.
1. 30 seats for Pakistani medical colleges. (TOp position holders from AJK will be transferred to Pakistan)
2. Local Students AJK residents. (Further divided in Districts)
3. Migrant KAshmiris.

I belong to district Poonch AJK have highest merit and 23 seats. Merit starts from 92% and ends at 85.8% but in Hattian Bala and Neelum Valley have low merit due to low litteracy rate. Those who belong to these districts are privileged.

Poonch have highest literacy rate even Islamabad Pakistan's capital is behind us.

And I am doing C.A no complication, no bullshit on the basis of religion or province of domicile just pass the papers of ICAP in minimum time and u are in firm as a trainee and then pass furthur papers and u are a C.A [emoji301]

.
That's exactly what needs to be changed the mafia system. They are all "Daku,Choor"
Bro the best thing to do is hire a private tutor at your home and you can complete Both O and A levels in less than 15 months. I know a private tutor may not be cheap but it can save alot of time, money and you have better concentration compared to a school.
Do u know what u are talking about studying whole course of minimun 8 subjects in O levels and then 3 mainstream subjects of AS level and A level in just 15 months. Seriously this is elusive as ****

Even though I can’t vote... (Overseas Pakistani), my choice would be PTI. I would regret voting for him due to some stuff he says like the time he told people to stop paying taxes or how he handled APS and the very loose wording used in Dharnas. However he is the best option out of all of them, even though PTI is filled with corrupt, former PPP members.

PTI has not had a chance and deserves one... However when was the last time any political party or Siasat shows talked about the Manifesto?

These are only minor things about imran you're judging .
While it may seem that imran is fixated at the prime ministership but truth is unlike other useless parties who use province card , he has actually care for whole country .
After his efforts of kicking out the corrupt prime minister and having a considerable good performance in kpk he should not be misunderstood. .

Ps. I don't watch talk shows .
