However, for your kind information, F-16 block 30 and onward are the best dog fighting f-16 ever. I don't think you know that from Block 30 onward F-16 received a new better engine the General Electric F110-GE-100 with much better thrust to weight ratio. The letter variants were also improved little on the engine and body part but heavily on avionics and weapons part. The later variants are thus more maneuverable until they equip the aircraft with conformal fuel tanks for extra range. Conformal fuel tanks decrease agility of any aircraft. Your JF-17 will behave (Agility) like your F-7PG when you equip it with conformal fuel tanks.




It is not true. They upgraded the latter (variants with the new engine which are Block 30 & onward) variants with much better avionics while keeping the agility same. So, that is also improvement. Its like you have a Nokia C3 with Nokia E7 facility and features.

And the critics compared JF-17 with second hand F-16 block 15.

According to information published in the journal «Jane's Defence Weekly», Shah Mohammad Ziaur Rahman (Marshal and Chief of Air Staff, Bangladesh), said at an international conference in London on 2011 that Bangladesh Air Force intends to acquire a new generation of fighters (32). The options being considered is the MiG-29CMT, Lockheed Martin F-16, Sukhoi Su-30 and the Saab JAS-39. In addition, the Air Force plans to upgrade 8 MiG-29 that were purchased back in 1999. And of course, buy a new trainer for advanced training in order to replace the existing L-39.

Well JF-17 is a cost effective able fighter, no doubt about it. But your armament should work as deterrant and also as usefull in real war. JF-17 cant bring deterrant factor to your inventory so to avoid any wars. SU-30 Hell ya. Burmese will think 5 times before entering BD airspace. And for Indian they will not have the edge over SU-30 either other than sheer numbers.

Who will supply these Jf-17's anyways? Is it going to be manufactured in China or Pakistan? Pakistan can't meet its own demand as it is, so am guessing all the jets meant for export will be manufactured in China.

If BD will get offer of any joint collaboration from any big economy like China or Russia, they can also develop aircraft like JF-17, anyway BD has only two neighbors India and Myanmar and the tension is not so much volatile as in case with Pakistan's Eastern and Northern borders.
