What's new

What about jf-17 for bangladesh airforce?

BD needs to have a strong military.. actually any country needs that!!! Even if India never attacks them, it doesn't speak well to be at the mercy of any country (india, china, usa, whatever...)..

regarding JF-17... even if that happens... it won't happen before 2020.. btw china won't mind equipping BD if it can be of any help in "string of pearls" policy...

.
If there is any india-china war, bd should remain silent and be honest to its relationship with both the countries. China maybe our ally and wants us to progress rapidly to make india nervous, but india is our neighbour and they are not our enemy... Let China and India handle their clash... We are no pakistan, we don't have any bomb to save ourselves....

.
well BD does not face any real threat. Only India/Burma are on its border. BD diaspora across world is pretty good. ANy threat to it can be resolved in dialogue. in my honest opinion BD faces more threat from natural disaster/climate change than anything else.
India shud not be concerned with BD going for jf-17, they know whats good for their country.

2. In the event of a general war between India and China it will be suicidal and even impossible for BD to remain neutral. We have to ally with our ally who will surely emerge victorious. The peoples of Eastern India and BD would be waiting for this opportunity to size up the Brahmonic bullies of Delhi.

In a general war with China, if it does comes to all out war, India and China will not be the only countries involved. It will be a war which will bring economies of the world crashing and would involve major powers. The crash will be so severe that purely from an economic standpoint a lot of countries will go under.

As far BD is concerned, when you have two elephants fighting it is always better for hyenas to maintain a really good distance, lest they want to be trampled. Regarding BD opening a third front, you bet it will be suicidal. India will ensure that BD will be glowing in the dark for the next 100 years :toast_sign:

.
Only even if BD takes the role of a neutral and silent spectater in India's war against China and does not allow India to use its territory for military movement, a certain Indian defeat can be assumed. India will lose a large of land to China, and NE will be independent. So, you will be glowing for the next thousand years in the dark in a distant galaxy and not us.

In case you haven't got the memo, in a nuclear war, no one wins. Even if India gets destroyed, not much will be left of China as well. The vast areas of China is empty land, once the cities are nuked, its like setting back a country 100 years. Same will go for India too.

Oh! And regarding BD sitting around to capture NE, heh!! Dude your water supply will look as green as mountain dew only it won't be as harmless :P. With water supply irradiated, what will you grow and feed your people?

You people talk like such dumba$$es. There will be no BD left in case of an all out war. The nuclear dust itself will make the fields and water supply toxic enough to render it un-usable. So I would suggest that start looking at the ""bigger"" picture. This will not be like a freakin video game.

1. Chairman Mao had famously stated that in Tibet were the palm of the hand then the Himalayas were the outstretched fingers. Aksai Chin and Arunachal were Tibetan territory usurped by the British. The entire McMohan Line was drawn up whimsically by a British Army Engr junior officer to suit the British needs. Why should China agree to all these colonial whims?

2. A Sino-India conflict will present an opportunity for BD and the eastern India peoples to retrieve the independent kingdom they had lost on 23 June 1757. Why should we accept the mischief left by Radcliffe?

:hitwall: Ok, let me try this again....

1. So let China attempt to take it back :) Plus, China is simply saber rattling, unlike Pakistan a war will have a detrimental effect on their economy. They don't want to sacrifice their world clout due to their economy to be destroyed due to vast stretches of fairly useless land. "Its the economy stupid!!"

2. Post Sino-India conflict, there won't be much of a NE or BD left. The so called NE kingdoms will be destroyed beyond recognition. And what makes you think that BD will allowed to waltz in and claim these territories?

BTW, how old are you? Have you even studied the basics of how world economy works? The simple news of Greece defaulting has the US economy shitt!ing in their pants. Can you imagine a news of India and China going to war do to the economies of the world? India and China are not inconsequential countries like BD. When we talk, the world listens, when we fight, the world trembles :)

1. I believe you ought to get some education yourself. When India and China fought in 1962, the world did not tremble; Indians did s--t in their pants. Going to happen again, we hope. We in BD always pray that China teaches you some humility.

2. BD is neither a huge mass with the poorest people on earth, nor is she a "Super Poor" like India. We have a thriving economy with good human index - unlike India. We are not interested in posing ourselves as "consequential", "super duper power", viceroy of Asia, captain of the Indian Ocean, etc! We are happy as we are except that we shall strive to regain the Kingdom of Nawab Sirajuddaula that was taken away from us by the British and presented to the Brahmonic oligarchy of Delhi.

Well, if I had to choose between an SU-30MKK and a JF-17, I'd certainy go for the former.

Hey zab, whats the diff between MKK and MKI?

They are variants for different end-user countries.

MKK stands for: Modernizirovannyi, Kommercheskiy, Kitayski meaning Modernized, Commercial, China.

MKI stands for: Modernizirovannyi, Kommercheskiy, Indiski meaning Modernized, Commercial, India.

The MKK is developed by both Russia and China. China and Indonesia currently use them.
