ANI | 10 Oct 2022, 05:35 PM IST

It is true, west likes anyone who can lick their boots and ironically military dictators did that the best.

It's a clear sign that even India now is distancing itself from the west, China is gaining rapidly in Africa, middle east, Latin America... US containment policy against China had proven to be an abysmal failure.

India distancing itself from the west doesn’t mean China is gaining. India will still remain hostile and I do not see that changing unless the border dispute can be resolved in a way that is amenable to both countries.

welcome to the club india ....
West military equipment is not free

Because you were useless then and are useless now. Global geopolitics is a big boy game, little girl India has no role to play on that stage.
Maybe we are not okay in being "used" ?

Only self respecting countries can take a stand whereas their are country's who can remove their popularly elected PM over a junior diplomat's words.

International relations have always been of transactional nature. Your FM insulted your nation by saying that a 4 times smaller dictatorship was better than his country.

Not at all ,international relations between many countries are based on friendly ties and Historical interconnections.

It's only the small country's who like to boot lick bigger powers in exchange of F-16's.

Indian FM ,just reiterated history ,nothing changes on the nature of Indo-US relations.

We will continue to have independent position wrt Ukraine while trading with the west.

Next batch of S400 is coming to India in November and west is lining up in MRFA. :coffee:

when India was buying billion of dollars of defense equipment from USSR/Russia and their economy, knee deep into it, even then they were taking a good piece of pie from USA in certain ways even aids.

it was them who chose Russian block during cold war, did they forget it?

and at present: reluctantly falling into US lap ... oh man, what they are not realizing is once they are, they will know how US will squeeze them to the limits where eyeballs will be popping out. with their economy hijacked to those limits where a simple hint of market fluctuation will disrupt the figures at stock exchange.

US is changing its stance, they are investing in economies whom they can milk for long, this is their future investment.

Where's the lie?
USofA has been antagonistic towards India for a better part of history.
Things started changing slowly in 2000s only.
The US policy after Nixon left us with no other choice but to ally with Russia for our defence needs.
And now all of a sudden West expects us to part ways?
While USofA is still supporting Pakistan's military dictators till today? 🤏

It's a clear sign that even India now is distancing itself from the west, China is gaining rapidly in Africa, middle east, Latin America... US containment policy against China had proven to be an abysmal failure.
India is not distancing itself from the west, India is putting it's view across.

One small correction: If Biden falls on his shoelace or chokes on his breakfast tomorrow, do you know the name of POTUS?

Have you seen the names of CEO's of Fortune 500?
