West gives award to people who Insult our religion

The author of those cartoons would never have gained the worldwide attention if Muslims had simply ignored their drawings satirizing the Prophet Muhammed. One thing that I have noticed from this whole episode is that most Muslims think that insulting religion is something new in the West, or that only Islam is made fun of in Europe/USA.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Those of you that are familiar with cartoons such as South Park will know how much fun is poked at Jesus Christ. Mormons, Jews, Hindus, Catholics etc are all ridiculoued far more than Muslims.

So next time simply ignore something that upsets you, even if its an 'insult' to your religion. If you believe in Prophet Muhammed, you also believe that God will punish anyone making fun of him; so why bother?

I also ask the moderators to stop the Iraq debate in this thread as that is off-topic conversation. How the heck did it turn into one in the fist place?
