Hezbollah's objective then increased to defending every inch of Lebanese territory from Zionist aggresion. and still getting their prisoners returned.

Hezbollah: was not destroyed. Was MASSIVELY strenghtned both physically in terms of military strength, position in government, and entrenchment in Lebanese society and public opinion. today they are more powerful then many nation state armies.
