PS: There is no "watchdog". There is the IEA, and they get their information from a country's national energy agency, who in turn are responsible on collecting data on their national energy state.
Ignoring your childish comments, I wish Iran well in their plans to develop.
However, Iran produced 6 mbpd of crude oil in 1978, and this is now down to about 3.5 mbpd these days. Not exactly the right kind of progress is it?
