Its has to be some sort of beneficial deal. They provide something of value to us (maybe some tech transfer + their lobbies in Washington work for us?) and we recognise them.

Personally I would be happy with the lobbying. They practically own the US (and no I don't mean that as a conspiracy theory - it is the truth). Get a lot of heat off the country.

It is important to note that when musharraf even give a whiff of recognizing Israel in the early 2000s, they gave us lobbying for Kashmir (that's how influential they are). As soon as that ended they took it away.

If not anything, India can easily influence both nations to accept a status quo and stop fighting. It all begins with bringing the two parties to the table and start talking. What happens next is completely reliant on them.

LOL if only things were that simple. You are appeasing both sides for your own benefit. You will have to choose a side eventually because Israel isn't in the mood of negotiating anything. Don't act like you don't know this. Peace is out of the question. The Jerusalem vote just demonstrated this very recently.

Since Pakistan is one of the most Powerful Islamic Nations, I guess they'll need to bring something more to the table. I'd say David's Sling and Iron Dome + TOT, what you mentioned above and we have a deal.
