Afghan war in 1980's has ruined Pakistan. Only Pakistanis give credit to themselves for breaking USSR. And where was Pakistan's PM a few days back ? In Russia, mending relations.

American weapons, Saudi finance, Pakistan's human resource - that is Afghan war in a nut shell. How were those mujahedeen brainwashed ? Religion and a little bit of hatred against Communists but it was the love of Jihad which led them towards extremism. No surprise that hatred against other muslim sects also creeped in through KSA's wahabi mentality. Madrassah's across Pakistan taken over by KSA fueling hate against Iran and shia sect.

A good percentage of Pakistanis are against Shias and their ways of living. So recruiting from those rural areas isn't a problem for attacks against shias. Baluchis (some tribes) are brain washed against Army so creating BLA, BLF, BRA etc isn't an issue. Northern Alliance and some clans of Taliban in Afghanistan are against Pakistan so attacking areas in North-west KPK doesn't pose problem. MQM and some other political hands including JUI etc are anti-state and anti-LEAs in Sindh, just like PTM is in KPK, easy done for India again. Afghanis inside Pakistan already despise Pakistan but live freely in it. Recruit them and use them against Pakistan at will.

The required human resource is already inside Pakistan, pick the right area to brainwash, recruit, train, arm, infiltrate and execute the damage against Pakistan. Banning these religious parties is not the only effective solution, its the brain washing through religion which cannot be un-done.

There was a certain religious gathering in Rawalpindi, Pakistan many years ago. Some known people went there to attend it. A person who coordinated for renting the venue and hiring transport for stage material, mic-dice, chairs etc mentioned to them, you see those 3 guys standing there looking at us, they r from a certain intelligence agency. Those people never went back to that gathering again.

what do you make out of that ? Intel agencies keep an eye, however, the concept of religion has been distorted for political benefits. Not just religious leaders but imams of masjids as well as islamiyat teachers in schools/colleges/Universities. Some political and religious parties are born at university campus which are later absorbed into bigger ones.

This could take a century. Does Pakistan really want to spend the next 100 years with terrorism? It's time for decisive action.

It’s foreign agenda to create Shia-Sunni conflict in Pakistan. They are using RAW/ NDS/ ISIS to do this. We need to go after their hideouts Afghanistan and destroy them. Pakistani agencies must dismantle terrorist networks in Afghanistan. If need to create a DMZ between Pakistan and Afghanistan, government must engage with Afghan Taliban and address this issue.
