Disregarding the spelling mistake(I hope you can see it), what he meant was quite opposite of what you thought. Do know that what you see might appear differently to other, or in this case, to you.

Next, please show me where in the post he says "Having floodlights on your side defeats the purpose"??? In reality, he was actually saying that Pakistan should put up floodlights on their side and not advocating against them.

I was talking about what @ranjeet answered to him and what was written in the article.
You don't need floodlights as there is no infiltration from India into Pakistan its the opposite of it.Just like Mexico's border with USA won't have floodlights,but USA does and have tight security is the same reason here.

I was actually telling him that floodlights on Pakistani side would hinder the "infiltration" process.

Well, he didn't have to specify since (according to him and me), there is only one God. But, if we were talking about gods than obviously there would be more than 1.
