under islamic law all citizens are equal. So no hindus were not servant they were equal. There were muslims and hindus both rich and poor. Both serving others.

Marathas were also the contenders,Lakhmi Baitoo achieved martyrdom .Sepoy mutiny was initiated by Bengal devision which consisted higher hindu cast Bhumihar Brahmins and Rajputs .Who were the main cause of revolt.Due to this later even martial status from Bhumihars land oweners of gangetic plains were withdrawn.

Sepoy Mutini were done mostly by muslims. The hindus, bengali hindus, instead of supporting accused those muslims for troublesome or lets say hindus took british side.

well pakistani was under sikhs rule before british. british controlled punjab for only 90 or so years unlike bengal which was under british rule for 300 years or so. thus pakistani blaming british bias towards hindus for pakistans backwardness is baseless
