You speak from experience ? Chaff can produce an EM blanket that can be hundreds of square kilometers. Flares can do the same against IR sensors.

And finally, Chinese will be nasty to fire at least a dozen DF-21D at just one CVN alone. Has THAAD or whatever BS you can come up ever demonstrated taking on 12 DF-21D couple with evasive technique and decoy successfully?

The more important question should be if the DF-21D has demonstrated on taking on the full defensive capabilities of an American ship, capabilities that the PLAN does not know fully in both technology and employment.
