You will love Botswana. It is my 2nd home; family on both sides - I am just in some cases depending where the crow flies; 20km from the border. Also you will find flights relatively inexpensive.
Also for your info, Botswana beef is 100% halal. So you have no concern there. Air Botswana is my preferred carrier; they have daily flights from CT to Gaborone and to JBurg. I prefer it over SAA Link.

Fly to CT via SAA - I will never travel of Brit Airways or via Uk. After the last incident at the airport, never again. I gave them a piece of my mind and everyone is looking at you. Racism and profiling are all over Heathrow. Not once but twice they pounced on me; I just gave it to them. They would not back off, I had to pull my SA security clearance and told them to get my equivalent rank on the floor to speak with otherwise to go and jump in a sea. Very simple, all others are going by why me - Colour? Plus I dont need visa or anything to visit UK either just pure and simple harassement; from then on, i go via Holland, at least I speak the language and never had issues.
