I would like to point out that PLAN does not operate Su-30MKK. It operates Su-30MKK2. The former is operated by PLAAF.

Wg Cdr Aamir never flew in an Su-30, he flew F-16s all his life, dont know what his rank is though. Only one PAF pilot flew the Su-27 and MiG-29, and that is Group Captain(retd.) Imran Amin(very experienced Viper guy from 70th GD P, currently in Qatar Airways) but that was for evaluation, and eventually PAF had to cancel its plan for the Su-27s as India intervened.
