VIEW: Recognising our common interest

Zia legacy is bleeding Pakistan!

No, Bhutto legacy is bleeding Pakistan.

It was ZA Bhutto who started all the extremism and even the militancy. And he was worse, too, because he was a hypocrite (who broke up Pakistan).

Zia is not to blame, he was good for Pakistan.

Your right. We could blame India, Russia, U.S. or any other country for our failure but the fact remains that we have only ourselves to blame. If such a situation were to occur in India we also would of taken advantage of it. We are quick to blame others without first looking at our flaws. The fact is why did we let outsiders to take advantage of us.

this is what Maj.Gen. Fazl Muqeem Khan, GOC East Pakistan (now BD) said as early as April,65 in a message to CGS, PA, Malik Sher Bahadur and I quote:
"politically, people here are getting more and more vocal about the defence of East Pakistan. the general trend of feeling is that this wing is not provided with adequate defence. there is an inherent danger in this thinking. my worry is that the people who are being rightly or wrongly being taught to think that the defence of East Pakistan is inadequate, instead of proving a help, might easily, demoralised and cause a problem."

on October, 18 Gen. Musa responded beletedly:

" the difficulty about convincing some of the civilians in East Pakistan as to the adequacy of the defence of the wing. however proof of the pudding is in eating and the recent invasion of West Pakistan has left no doubt where India wants to really settle the issue. no one can say what line of action India would adopt in similar circumstances in the future and we have, of course, to be prepared for all eventualities".

If it is indeed a War against Islam, then how come the Pakistan govt and other Islamic govt are participating in the same?

Does not make sense!

Why not?

By the way, they are not "Islamic" governments, as you put it.
