@Nilgiri Their aviation sector is also booming. I have plans to head to Vietnam for a visit, to revisit the sites of the Vietnam War!

Will definitely seek pointers from @Viet and other Vietnamese friends when I do.

You should visit Nha Trang, my home city. I haven’t been there for a while. I read many developments come up. Share photos when you were there. The only place in Vietnam I would buy a house.

Viet foods are very popular nowadays. Resto and coffee shops come up like onions. However the most crazy trend now is Nails shops. Nails everywhere.

You will be pleased to know my good friend, its quite easy to have a good selection of vegetarian food in Vietnam too (rolls, soups, noodle dishes, rice platters etc)...generally just need to ask for "Chay" list of items iirc. There are lot of articles and videos out there how to go about doing it....here in Canada almost all Viet joints offer extensive vegetarian and vegan options....and as tourism permeates in Vietnam itself...I am sure it is expanding there in their restaurants etc.

So with time, definitely tourism both ways is going to increase a lot in coming years...as interest and goodwill increases.

My father was in vietnam last year and he really loved the people there.
Someday I too plan to visit the country, I have yet explore that part of Asia.
