Maybe I haven't spent enough time, but all the Aussies I work with are very warm and friendly.
However the Aussie hicks, the 'Bogans' are difficult to deal with. Most Australians are quite welcoming.
Other Indians that I know of in Melbourne, also seem to have a favourable opinion of Australia and the people, hence asked.

There was this guy on the indians in melbourne facebook page who had a picture of one such stawberry that his 3 year old daughter had bit into. Good thing she spat the needle out. Hating your boss maybe normal but taking it to genocidal levels is crazy!
