Colonel Nguyen Van Bay flew Mig-17 and shoot down 7 American planes in 1966-1967, including F-4, F-8 and F-105C. He retired as Deputy Chief Officer of VNAF and died 22 Sept 2019, aged 83.

Colonel Nguyen Van Bay was one of 19 aces of VNAF during the war against American invasion (as per Wiki. There may be more).

He finished 3rd grade and then fled his family to join Viet Minh. He moved to the North in 1954 and sent to be trained in China (Air Training School No.3, Liaoning province)

Nguyen Van Bay is South Vietnamese. He was traned in Soviet Union.

wiki is impartial ! Why don't you said that Mig 17 and Mig 21 is made in China.
