Vietnam leads China International Mathematics Competition

The 24-member delegation from Vietnam has claimed the first place at the 2015 China International Mathematics Competition (CIMC) in Changchun city, Jilin province.

All Vietnamese competitors came from the Hanoi-Amsterdam gifted high school and were divided into six teams.

In the individual event, the students took home two gold, 11 silver and four bronze medals as well as six consolation prizes.

The gold medalists are Tran Dinh Quan, Bui Hong Duc and Phan Minh Duc; Hong Duc achieved the highest score with 120/150 points at the competition.

In the team event, Vietnam also won 13 prizes, including four championship trophies. The IIB team comprising four students - Bui Hong Duc, Ngo Le Bach, Nguyen Ngoc Duc, Le Tran Cong Hung - made a strong impression with an absolute score of 400/400 points.

The CIMC 2015, which was held from July 27 to August 1, was comprised of two parts - Key Stage II (for students aged 15 years and under) and Key Stage III (aged 17 and under).

This year’s event attracted 627 students from 29 countries and territories around the world that were divided into 74 teams who competed for Key Stage II, and 77 teams for Key Stage III.

The participants at the CIMC are from Japan, China, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, Thailand, Bulgaria, Mongolia, Taiwan, Indonesia, Cyprus, Vietnam, Macau, Iran, Sri Lanka, Mexico, The Netherlands, Romania, South Africa, Nepal, Zimbabwe, India, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, and the Philippines.

What a joke!:-)

China won 11 gold medals : 6 from individual events and 5 from team events.

vietnam only won 6 gold medals : 2 from individual events and 4 from team events

You are the most stupid in PDK, because when you insult the other once, they will insult you twice. Sometime I called Chinese arrogant but I never call Chinese "stupid". If you can not behave more politely, then better disappear because we don't want to go to PDK to insult each other.
