Vietnam steps up its game: China Daily

copy cat this copy cat that, only dishonest losers would paint China as thieves and the rest as saint. Yet the earliest industrial espionage were conducted by white foreigners when they stole secrets of Chinese manufacturing tech of porcelain. Didn't Japan copied many things during the Meiji era? In the 80s and 90s here in the Western world labelled Japan as copy cats too.
Prove every single statement in what you just said as everyone can throw trash and propaganda in here.

. .
Does China well known at world copy cat, and stolen tech from Japan and U.S.? If that is not rip off then what should you call? Does Vietnam know to the world for stealing other countries tech?

Want me to make a thread of China copycat and stolen tech? I will be glad to do that. Everyday I will post just one article of China tech copy and or steal from other. You will have plenty of time to defend your supa China. Want to do that?
Vietnam and other countries can do the same thing. They can buy a Mercedes, tear it apart and make a Vietnamese Mercedes just like that. Yes it's that simple. Every country can do it.

 as our German friend said it before they can give you the blueprint of how to build a BMW but can you actually build one from scratch?

This is exactly what I am suggesting but somehow Vietnamese posters prefer to evade the question.

What keeps Vietnam from such greatness as becoming a mini Germany?

Just buy the latest BMW, Mercedes models, Rolls Royce engine, a Boeing Dreamliner and, yes, one Mack truck. And make a copy of them. While the world is laughing at you, make a better one for the next try.

Wa da! No more import junks from China.

I don't hear them complain about copying Western technology when they tried to show us their Bphone. But hey if China makes something which was invented by the West it's copycat right? o_O

LOL. In any case, if they ratify the TPP agreement, their copy-cat moment will be forever over and then they can enjoy all the luxuries of imported fine products.

Yes they should stop making Bphones or whatever the West had invented. Viets have high moral standards, they don't copy they import. They should stop making Bphones now, everybody get an affordable iphone after TPP

It is understandable that some segments of Vietnam might be cheering for the deal. I bet it is the extreme (and very affluent) minority.

But who cares?

After TPP, Vietnam will have trade surplus with China -- because the current deficit is the sole largest national security threat the country faces. :D

Then Vietnam no longer has to buy second hand trucks, but brand new Macks and Freightliners and International IHIs.

And China will collapse because we can no longer make any money from selling low quality trucks to Vietnam. :cray:
